Brady's PoV~

I didn't see what happened but it wasn't that hard to figure it out.

I was guarding Lillia's new room after the two entered. From what I could before Mr. Valentino closed the door behind him, it was a beautifully designed room that I knew Lillia would love.

After being in the room together, alone, for not even five minutes, Mr. Valentino came out of the library door that was one door down.

He looked to be in some sort of panic as he basically ran right past me and down the hall.

At first, I assumed that something happened with the gang and he needed to take care of it quickly. However, when I went to go check on Lillia, she was just standing in the center of the library.

Her eyes were wide and slightly teary. And her lips were swollen.

I connected the dots real quick.

I led her back to her bedroom, helped her to bed, then left to guard her door. I could tell she wanted to be left alone but I still felt really bad for her.

Around twenty minutes later, Lillia opened to door. No tears; no frown.

She looked like nothing had happened.

"Brady, can you find me a charger for my phone? Mr. Valentino didn't supply me with one." She asked softly with a smile.

Maybe the kiss didn't affect her as much as I originally thought.

I nodded and went on the search for a charger, going straight to my room to get mine. It wasn't until I was already in my room looking for it that I realized I didn't send another guard to hold my shift.

Hoping Mr. Valentino wouldn't notice the lack of a guard at Lillia's door for the minute or two that I've been good, I didn't bother asking another guard to help me out, knowing that she'll be fine without a guard for a few minutes.

I finally found my charger and arrived back at her room. I knocked on the door and waited for her to open the door for me.

After not getting any sort of response, I knocked again but louder. Still, nothing.

Maybe she was sleeping, or in the library enjoying the hundreds of books that Mr. Valentino ordered for her.

I cautiously opened her door and peered in. Her bed was empty.

"Queen Lily?" I called out but still not getting an answer.

I walked further into the room and into the library through the secret door that was already open. But the library was empty too.

As the realization that I didn't know where Lillia was hit me, someone signaled me on my radio.

"Santos? Boss's girl is down here. Did you send her?"
