Lillia's PoV~

It is now Day Four of Hudson being gone, leaving me in charge.

I've talked to Hudson a few times on the phone, all conversations lasting for more than an hour. He doesn't answer my questions about how his business trip has gone or what he's doing but he keeps on the topic on me.

I've been quite busy these last few days. After much considered, I decided to destroy the isolation room myself.

Brady and I went after it with some sledgehammers. It was a lot of fun.

I discussed with the designer about putting a nice game room on the top floor along with a greenhouse. Jamie loved it and is working on the designs now.

I loved her work with the daycare and people are already working on it.

I've been a little stressed out and I think Hudson could hear it in my voice. He ordered some people to come to the office and give me a massage.

I've ever had a massage before but it was great. I almost cried when they had to leave.

But know I'm looking through the profiles of the people that applied for the positions open; we have maids, guards, teachers, and babysitters.

I wanted to have interviews with all of them but that would take forever. So, I'm trying to cut the list a bit.

Brady was in the office, throwing a ball in the air to entertain himself.

"I'm not going to hire someone that was charged for attempt of murder. Jeez." I chuckled while throwing that profile in the trash.

I went to go throw something that Brady when I heard a knock on the office door. Brady stood up and opened it to reveal Jake Scott.

Based on his stone face, he was here with business.

"Did you give Raymond Conner time off?" He asked me immediately after Brady let him in.

I thought for a second and then remembered the man from a few days again that came in here for his time off.

"Yeah, his girlfriend is pregnant," I told him, not understand where this conversation is going.

"He doesn't have a girlfriend," Jake stated.

I looked at Brady with disbelief.

"He was lying?" I asked, already knowing the answer. I stood up and walked over to them.

"Yeah, he did. If you want to handle it, you can. But I can handle it too." He told me cautiously.

I paused, thinking. Was I ready to handle a guard like that?

But if I do handle it well, Hudson would hear about it.

"I'll handle it. Thank you, Jake." I nodded at him and he quickly left.

"Are you sure? Lilly, this is a big deal and Hudson isn't going to think any less of you if you let Jake handle it." I nodded.

I stand back down and tried to think of ways that Raymond will come back to the estate. I know there is a basement that has cells.

After two cups of tea, I called Brady over.

"I need you to get Raymond on the line. I will tell him to swing by the estate, when he can, to pick up his paycheck. And then I'll have him stay in the cells for two weeks to teach him a lesson." He nodded, still not looking like he was agreeing with my decision but still listening to me.

I talked to him. I made short to keep it brief, not wanting him to just suspicious. I told him that I started a new policy that all employees must pick up their paycheck and, since he's supposed to be going on leave for a year, he needs to pick it up as soon as possible. He'll be here tomorrow morning.
