"Are you ready?"

"I guess so."

Caesar had just pulled up to the school with his cousin right next to him.

"You know the list for cheerleading is today."

"I know."

"You excited?" He asked her.

She shrugged. "I guess."

Caesar sighed. "Come on cousin. You gotta at least try and be more happy than that."

Royalty sighed and crossed her arms. "You already know this has been the worse fucking year of my life Caesar. Stop trying to push me to do things I don't want to do. We already had this convo with uncle yesterday."

She was right, they did.

"Uncle M!" Royalty screamed as she walked into the house.

"Would you just calm down, you had fun did you not?"

Royalty ignored him and stomped into the living room to find her uncle watching tv with her younger cousins.

Marlon Caesar, or Uncle M, was a single father of 3 but now 4. His wife died to cancer when Caesar was only 11 and it has been him and his children since then. Caesar was Marlon's twin execpt his dreads was dyed with blonde at the end.

Caesar had twin siblings, Melody and Maliek who were now 6. It was upsetting that they will only hear stories of their mother. What made it even more upsetting was that they looked like their mother if she had dreads too. Caesar missed his mother badly but the only thing he could do was work hard to make her proud.

Being a single father was hard so Caesar made sure he always found ways to find money (nothing illegal) despite his dad telling him to leave it up to him. Cindy would try and give them money since she was rich but they didn't want any so instead of them taking the money directly, she would spend money here and there for them such as buy them clothes and shoes.

Caesar hated feeling useless but Cindy reasured him that she wasn't going to be the white saviour, she just wanted to help.

Now Royalty lived with him and she couldn't be mad about it. She loved her uncle and cousins and Marlon was grateful she was here to help with Melody. Marlon knew how to raise boys but a girl was a whole new thing, Royalty was there to help with as much as she could and in the short time, she had helped a lot.

Marlon sighed. "Caesar what did you did to poor baby Roy Roy?"

Caesar faked a hurt look. "What makes you think I did something to her?" His father gave him a look. "Ok so maybe I did. It's not bad."

"It is! He made me try out for cheerleading."

"And did you fall on your face?" He asked.

"No! I was amazing!" Royalty said but her fae wasn't showing her excitment.

"Then what's the problem?"

"I didn't want to. I wanted to lay low from now on but no, I just had to try out and everyone loved it so I might be on the team. The whole school is going to know who I am." She complained.

Marlon sat forward as the teens sat down. "Caesar, why did you drag your cousin to try out?"

"Because I knew she would be good at it and we both know she does not have a 'background' personality." Caesar explained to his father.

"Ok but that was my move to make Micheal."

"Royalty stop being so mad at me, if you really didn't want to do it you wouldn't have. It's not like I tasered you until you did it. You walked up there and did a killer routine. You could have even faked that you were bad."
