Notes- Hi! Sorry for not updating last week. I had a few things going on and I also kinda forgot to write something, so... here's an Ashe x Reader!

"When will he arrive..."

You mumbled, sighing with confusion as you fiddled with the small chain of flowers in your hands, making something whilst you waited for your beloved to join you outside.

Although despite the content atmosphere the calming breeze and the warm sunlight created, you couldn't help but feel somewhat unsettled. As it was a day off, you and Ashe planned on spending time together in the field by the monastery, a nice way to spend your break. But it's been a little while, and he hasn't arrived yet... he certainly wouldn't forget, right? You couldn't quite figure out what was taking him so long...

You concluded to wait a bit longer until going back to see if everything was okay— these days, anything could happen unexpectedly, especially in Garreg Mach Monastery, you thought. But to keep you busy, you continued picking the small flowers from the ground, interlacing them together to craft a flower crown— you've seen a few of the other students at the monastery make them before, so you decided to make one yourself, as it seems the pretty accessory hasn't gone out of fashion— after all, how could such beautiful flowers ever get old?

You were soon rather absorbed in the activity that you didn't notice a figure running up to see you, his heavy breathing snapping you out of your thoughts. Your gaze travelling up, you saw Ashe in front of you, wiping a drop of sweat from his brow.

"Ashe!"
"Y/n!" He panted and knelt down on the grass, his bright eyes meeting with your own.
"I-I'm so sorry I kept you waiting! The Professor needed to see me about something and, well, it took a while, as you can tell..."
Expecting you to be upset, he was surely surprise when you instead smiled sweetly at him, giggling quietly when he nervously scratched the back of his neck.
"It's alright, Ashe! I will admit I was starting to get a little worried..."
You moved closer to him, your grin widening.
"But you're here now. So everything's okay!"

Still surprised from your reaction, Ashe couldn't help but smile with you, chuckling when he realised there was nothing to worry about all along— he sometimes forgets how understanding you are, as you've both only been a couple for not that long.
"Really? I have to say, that's very kind of you," He moved to sit next to you with a loving gaze, his cheeks tinted the slightest pink...

Then he noticed a chain of flowers in your hands.

"...Oh!" He realised what you must've been making whilst you were alone, a brow raised in curiosity.
"Is... that a flower chain?"
You hummed in some confusion until you remembered, nodding eagerly, quickly tying the ends together and raising the crown for him to see more clearly.
"Yes! It is," You replied.
"I was making one when I was waiting for you,"
His smile faltered at that comment.
"Yeah... sorry again..."
"Hm? Oh, Ashe!" You giggled once again, kissing his pink cheek. How Ashe was so adorable, you could never figure out.
"There's no need to be sorry!"
And speaking of how adorable your boyfriend was, his big grin returned to his lips as his cheeks warmed up more.

He was so cute, you couldn't resist doing what you did next.

You raised the flower crown higher, so that it wasn't in his sight anymore, placing the pretty flowers upon his silver hair and sitting back down again, admiring him with the crown. You were quiet, waiting for him to get the idea when he touched his head, feeling the soft petals and thin stalks against his fingers, his cheeks burning until they became a very noticeable scarlet flush, yours soon beginning to heat up in embarrassment.

"Um... I guess they're yours now!" You explained.

Ashe paused for a second or two, until he chuckled again, his grin turning into something more goofy when he looked at you again.

"Thanks!" He thanked you, laughing along with you. But despite the lighthearted mood between you two, he was certainly grateful for your little gift, kissing your cheek when he built up enough courage to do so.

Oh, he was so adorable.
