As I walked into school the next day, I felt the tiredness of not sleeping seep into my bones. Ever since my father left, I've had trouble sleeping. I'm not insomniatic, I just can't sleep. Opening my locker, I yawned and covered my mouth with a hand. Grabbing my books, I headed over to Harper's locker.

After History, I headed to Biology. Sadly, Harper wasn't in this class and we would be getting paired up today. I was internally hoping I would get someone who didn't hate my guts. Yeah, that was unlikely.

Sitting down in a seat, I waited for my Biology teacher to appear. Mr.Smith walked in and called to the class, "Alright class! Settle down and sit in a seat. This is not your permanent seat, you will be getting your year long partners today." Everyone sat down and waited for him to make the announcement. He began to call pairs out.

"- Lizzie and Oliver..." Of course, I had to get stuck with one of the 'populars.' One of the worst too. Oliver was one part of the 'bad boy trio.'  Out of the three, Oliver was the least scary. Jokester and player made him the most friendly but also the one biggest heartbreaker.

The other two were Logan and Hunter.Logan was the dark and moody one, barely talks to anyone except for Hunter and Oliver. Hunter however, was the one every girl strived to get with. Word goes around that he'd never had his first kiss. After all, being the quarterback of the football team, meant that he'd be the one to date all the girls. But he wasn't a player.

He was the one that everyone wanted and he could have anyone, but he chose no one. It was if he had too many options and he couldn't pick one. Supposedly, he was waiting for 'the one,' I didn't believe that for a second. Clearly, he was blinded by all the 'pretty' girls in school and couldn't be bothered to pick one and break the rest of their hearts. But no, he had to string them along as though they actually had a chance.

I was already in a seat and Oliver walked over and sat down at the desk beside me. "Hey, I'm Oliver." I nodded. He gave me a quizzical look. "Are you just not going to tell me your name?" I rolled my eyes, "So you didn't pay any attention when he called both of our names? Idiot." I mumbled the last part, hoping he couldn't hear it.

He chuckled, "So it's Lizzie?" I nodded. "Alright. Nice to meet you Lizzie." Giving him a small smile, I replied, "You too, Oliver."

Luckily, Bio and the rest of my classes until lunch passed quickly. Sitting down at our table, I pulled out my lunch. Harper appeared soon after and we both began eating. Soon enough, she had to ask the question I had been dreading. "So," She dragged out the 'o,' "who's you Biology partner?" I looked down and mumbled, "Oliver."

Her eyes widened to the size of saucers. "Oliver? As in The Oliver Williams! Oh my gosh! For real?" I nodded shyly. "Oh my gosh! You're so lucky! I bet everyone's jealous of you!" Now it was my turn for my eyes to widen. "Oh no." I whispered. Harper seemed to realize what I meant. Now that I was Oliver's Biology partner, my place on the radar would go from low to high in a matter of seconds. I would become a target for bullying from all the popular girls who wanted Oliver.

I quickly packed up my lunch, Harper following suit. Then we both speed walked out of the cafeteria. I could feel the eyes following my every move. My eyes started watering as I felt the walls closing in. I clung to Harper as she lead me into a quiet corner of the library. The librarian, Ms.Bann, knew of me and welcomed me at anytime. Harper looked at her and Ms.Bann understood and nodded.

Harper took me into our spot, the farthest corner of the library. I clung to her as I felt my breath shortening. My nerves quickly spiraled away into a full blown panic attack. I felt myself falling into the dark abyss, and I did what I shouldn't. I let go.
