Devon Residence

Caroline is sitting in the driver's seat of her parked silver Mazda in front of her best friends' residential family house since their memorable childhood days, which she planned to move into, writing to Elena in her journal. She gets out of the vehicle, moving a big cardboard box into the house, leaving it at the open door way. Isaac is tearing out another wall inside, upstairs, while she continues to take out more boxes from the car and dials Alaric.

'Dear Elena. Hope this isn't too messy, because I'm doing the mom thing of grabbing any spare moment to write, even in my parked car. It's my turn to be the bearer of not entirely bad tidings, because finally there's some good news too. Bonnie heard from Enzo...sort of. He left something for her to find. It wasn't exactly a love note, but it looks like he's on our side. And elsewhere, in actual romance...Isaac's family house is about to become my official residence. I absolutely love it. The water pressure needs some work, but Isaac seems to be very focused on home improvements. Either that or he just needs a way to get out his frustration about losing Damon's trail again. On a brighter note, there have been zero unwanted houseguests since last week's craziness. Lizzie and Josie are blissfully unaware that they were ever in any danger. I wish Ric and I could say the same.'

'He was just as freaked out as I was, but he's distracting himself by researching our new enemy with the help of Minerva. Whatever real-life, supernatural thing is controlling our friends, they will find a way to fight it.'

Salvatore Boarding House/Mystic Falls Television News Station

Stefan remains at home, where he is repairing a heater in a bedroom while speaking with Rosie over the phone. Bonnie, Caroline and Rosie are at the news station for their research, looking at a digital map with red markers.

"So what does her boss think of her daily hobby of tracking crime reports?"

"I'm right here, you know, and you're on speaker." Caroline mentioned and the other vampire laughs slightly, "To answer your question, I told her it's like a really dark version of Pinterest." She turns to her friends, "Did you see the cranberry muffins in the breakroom? I got them at the girls' bake sale."

"No, thank you. I already ate." Rosie replied politely, smiling.

"I'm not hungry, thanks." Bonnie responded, smiling as well.

"Well, Bonnie, you need to eat something." Her best friend reminded her.

Bonnie is clearly focused and busy on her current task, frowning, "I will...later. Right now, we need to be looking for crimes farther away from Tennessee. They might have been traveling these past few days."

"Yeah, okay. Widen the search radius." Rosie told the blonde.

"I can see why the slick and sneaky ones are your type, Bonnie." Caroline said and Rosie nudges Bonnie's side playfully, giggling as she agrees to her and she goes back to working on the computer, doing what Rosie asked.

"Why hasn't he left any more clues?" The Bennett girl uttered in concern.

"Well, Enzo's playing double agent, so I'm guessing he needs to pick his moments." Her blonde vampire best friend remarked in an obvious tone.

"There. North Carolina. Two murders in two different towns just this morning." The much older caramel brunette vampire stated. It's them.

"Yeah, and both women died of neck wounds." Caroline reported.
