Ellison Taylor

"What are you guys doing?" I screamed as I tried to pull El up away from Ian. El looked murderous for the first time as he stood up.His calm and cool collected face was long gone and I see anger clear in his eyes. He stood up wiping his bloody mouth.

"We are no longer friends." He spat in disgust and give a death glare to Ian. Ian looked miserable for the first time. He sat up and looked at his friends. "You better stay away from Ellison." He warned and I have no idea what he was talking about.

Ian looked angry and glared back at his friend. "You don't get to say that."

El scoffed. "I do get to say that, you piece of trash." And I heard gasps all around us.

"You two should argue somewhere else." I started. "Don't use your hands please, you guys need to learn to use words."

Before I could continue. I see Mr. Jameson and our principal in front of us.

"You two in my office, right now." Mrs. Lee screeched in a high tone. She looked mad as she glared at the two boys.

The whole school was talking about this matter and no one has a clue why that started. Rumours started that most likely those two fell in love with me and is fighting over me. Like as if! I heard their parents was called and both of them got suspended for fighting in the school premises. Mrs. Lee take these things very seriously as it have to do with the reputation of the school. She wants to keep up the school's name and if she is lenient with one situation like these, people in school will start fighting and this could go out of hand. I didn't get a chance to speak to both of them after that morning. Cooper didn't showed up to school, while Claire was trying to get the gossip from people in school.

"You should text Ian." Claire suggested. "Ask him how he's doing?"

"I don't think she should contact him about this matter." Wilson disagreed with the idea. "Don't like your nose into their businesses."

"I agree with Wilson." I nodded my head. "It's something they should work on and I shouldn't be curious or ask him about this matter or even bring this topic."

Claire nodded her head, "sounds fair enough."

Brooke give me a death glare when she was walking towards her locker. I have never noticed that before, she never used to give me those looks and I wondered what has changed that she is giving those look or maybe it's just me?

The school ended with less dramas which I was glad about. I decided to give Ian some space to think about what has happened and didn't contact him. Brent was sitting in the living room, watching TV. It's actually nice to see him relaxing after a long while. He was dressed already in a dark blue polo shirt with jeans and socks.

"Lunch is ready, you just have to microwave it. We can go for bowling once you are done eating and changing."

"Sounds good. I'll change first and then eat."

"Take your time." He reassured me. "We have lots of time."

I had a fun evening with Brent. It feels really good to go for bowling after a long time. Brent seemed carefree and relaxed compared to his usual self.

For dinner we had pho and it was great! Brent was curious about my school's life since the day he saw the expensive car who dropped me off home.

"Should I be worried about who you are hanging out with?" He asked casually.

"Why would you be?" I asked.

"Just wondering..."

"You shouldn't be worried about that, trust me."

"If you do face any problem. You do know I'm here."

"I know." I said. "Thank you for always being there for me."

"You know I've got your back." He smiled.

"And I've got yours."

I didn't see Ian for a week after that incident. He was suspended along with El for three weeks and I assume he is ignoring me. I heard he did attend parties and is socializing with people outside school. That did break my heart a little, I don't know why I had the thought that he will talk to me about that matter. People were still guessing what the fight was all about and some even approached me rather confidently and accused me of me coming in between their friendship. I couldn't help but feel guilty when they put me in that spot. Claire was mad at those people and almost started a fight, a couple of times. Cooper was hanging out with us-since his friends are not in school. When I asked him, how both of them was doing. All he said was, they are good-I would rather you worry about yourself. These people are being rude to you for something you never did. He frowned.

"I'm good, it's rumours anyway?" I said, which almost sounded like a question.

He didn't say anything but just nodded his head. Things started to get normal in the second week, when there was rumours flowing that one of the jocks' broke up with his long time girlfriend. I was glad for the shift in the spotlight, I was overwhelmed by the sudden spotlight and I almost had a break down trying to cope with it.

By the end of the second week, I was able to pick myself up from the mess and started to feel a bit relaxed. Claire came over to my place on Saturday after my work to stay over. We haven't have sleep over for quite a while and it actually feels nice to have her around the empty house. She made me delicious seafood Alfredo sauce pasta for dinner and I couldn't help but be thankful for her cooking.

She tried to avoid topics about El and Ian with me. It's difficult though, we hang out with Cooper quite often after that incident. He avoided any topic related to that and said that they will come around soon. I wondered when Ian will actually come around? I wanted to see him, find out how he's doing? What's bothering him? What was this all about? But all I can do is to wait for him to come around.
