Chloe's POV
I woke up, just on time, as usual. Running late I did all my makeup and dressed up in a hurry. But me being habitual to this routine I always make it in time.

Entering the huge building, a feeling of being intimidated was all I felt. I seriously hate how something happens in my stomach when I go to the office. I thought this feeling was pretty much the anxiety welcomed because of the starting days at work, but it just never seems to leave me now.

I feel like this anxiousness is increasing as day passes by.

Well, luckily I didn't get to meet our stone faced CEO. The files were already transferred to my table, which kept me busy all day. I love how beautiful the entire city looks through the huge glass window. Being in one of the tallest buildings gives you the advantage to stare at the gorgeous place which is a flex of its own.

It was almost evening when I found myself alone in the office. I looked at my watch and it was almost past eight in the evening. Taking a deep breath I decided to take a break. Dragging my tired feet to the coffee machine, with a mug in my hand I slowly walked towards the exit.

As I took a sip, I realized I needed to add more sugar and I instantly turned back again to get it from the cafe. Almost all the staff had already left and this being my first time making coffee, I couldn't find half of the things.

"Ugh, where are you my sugar?" I said as I looked in the cupboard. I looked for a few more minutes and just when I was about to give up I heard a voice from behind startling me.

"Sugar is here."

"HUHHH?!" I almost screamed as I turned around.

A handsome guy, probably my age stood at a distance chuckling. He had a mug in his hand as well, indicating he was there to make coffee for him as well. I gulped, trying to register myself that this man is not a dangerous entity walking around, perhaps.

I don't know man, I've been watching too many horror movies the past few days.

I looked at him and his eyes sparkled even in the dim light. He was tall enough for his own good. And his sharp features were not the main attraction about him, but it was the welcoming and nice aura about him which made me smile automatically.

He seemed very sweet without any doubt.

"Sugar?" He asked again with the box in his hand.

But, don't forget how much of a fool I am. I without thinking what he actually is asking replied in the most stupid way.

"Oh no, I'm not sugar, my name is Chloe." I said.

"Huh?" He said as he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, but within a second he pursed his lips restricting himself from laughing.

It was then my dumb brain realized what actually happened. I opened my mouth but nothing except air came out because there was nothing in that moment that could cover up for the embarrassment. I looked away from his face but still felt him chuckling.

This was one of those moments when I can proudly scream in my head that 'I hate existing sometimes.'

"Umm, here it is, keep the box back in the cupboard after taking sugar, okay?" He said as he passed me the box. I just nodded with a forceful smile as I wanted to run away from that place as soon as possible. I couldn't handle being embarrassed in front of him anymore.

I quickly added a spoonful of it and rushed back to the cabin. I was almost running in the lobby, maintaining a certain speed not letting the coffee splash out. But I still felt so weird and I couldn't get over that uncomfortable situation.

I came inside and rested against the huge wooden door cursing at my so-called fantastic brain cells. I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath which didn't help to get over the awkwardness I felt a few minutes ago.

I looked at the mug in my hand and furrowed my eyebrows. "You did all that." I said looking at the coffee and shook my head, getting angry.

"Why are you blaming the coffee?"

I almost jumped in fear looking at Mr. Valentino sitting on his chair with a file in his hand, looking at me like he wasn't even surprised finding me doing something stupid. I seriously feel he thinks I'm a fool as a very precise presumption, that will never change.

The ceiling lamp over his head made him glow in that dark room. His shining light brown large curls over his forehead and his amazing jawline were enough to make me lose my breath for a brief second.

His fingertips were paused on the corner of the file he was looking at and I couldn't help but stare at how unknowingly gorgeous everything about his existence is. But this time I was lucky enough to not zone out, so I stood up straight as he looked at me, folding his arms. Emotionless.

I doubt if he's mentally stable.

"Use your hands more Ms. Cameron, if you're done playing with your lips."

That was so sexy. But he is taunting you?! But- it's still very sexy.

Well, I wish I had my personal cabin. That was the first thing that came to mind, because I can't be taunted every now and then by a handsome man like that. But I couldn't do anything because he's my boss and I can't ask him to stop.

Sigh.

"All the work is almost done Ms. Cameron. If you like, you can head home now." he said while looking at the files, grabbing my attention.

"No sir, I will complete my work and then leave." I said with a little smile.

"Hmm, alright then. I will see you tomorrow, don't be late." He said, giving the most uninterested look as he walked out of the office.

"Ha?! Couldn't he be a little nicer, it's not going to hurt his pride." I said to myself after he left.

But then again, I was expecting something from a person who's too busy maintaining his stone sculptured face. I wonder if he has ever smiled properly in his life. Also, why was I feeling bad? He's my boss, I shouldn't care even if he is mean to me. As long as I'm getting paid without any issues, I'm fine.

It was not long after I completed my work and I left the office. Picking up a pizza combo on my way back took me thirty minutes more than the usual time, but I was too tired to cook anything for myself.

Unlocking the entrance door of my house I quickly went inside. As I entered I took a deep breath, smiling. The very smell of this place makes me feel relaxed. Without wasting any time, I quickly took a shower and went downstairs, while I had my dinner sitting on the couch I decided to watch some TV.

As I took a bite from the pizza slice a sudden thought of Christian Valentino came to my mind. "I wonder what he is doing." I said to myself.

WAIT HOLLUP! WHY AM I THINKING ABOUT HIM?!
