I was on my way to Ryute village to trade some of the items I had collected. From pieces of monsters, furs and pelts to rare minerals. The reason why was that the rogue's guild didn't have any work for me right now. I also needed to get ready for the first wave it was coming up soon. It had been almost a full month now and I had managed to get stronger and collect new daggers to help me out.
I was still looking for those seven beasts of sin but I was having no luck in finding them. Where was I going to find a giant lion or a dragon. I'd figured that eventually reports would come out of these giant creatures doing whatever and they'd need someone to stop them. That's when I'd swoop in and save the day.
Before I went to Ryute I had heard from some traveling merchants that the mines next to Ryute had lots of valuable minerals there. However there were monsters in the mines from the first wave that the knights couldn't slay. I figured that I'd find some diamonds and slay some monsters for more experience points who knows what I'd fight down there. With that little piece of information I changed my destination and headed off to the mines.

Ryute Mine
The mine entrance was small and inside was dark. Luckily I had found a good enough stick to use as a torch. I wrapped some plants around the stick and used my fire magic to light it. I then proceeded to walk into the mines and find what I was looking for.
You know for a mine rumored to be full of monsters I surprisingly didn't run into any monsters. I was hopping for like a troll or something even a giant spider. Instead I got nothing except for large glowing crystals. I was unable to find anything further I was going to just turn around and leave the mine.
I continued forwards a little ways and still ended up finding nothing. Either those merchants lied to me or someone else had been through here and killed all of the monsters. I had hoped it wasn't either of the two instead I hoped the monsters were either further in or sleeping.
When I didn't find anything I decided that it was best to leave now before I went any further and got lost. Right as I was about to turn around a leave I heard voices yelling a bit farther down the cave along with monster roars. "Alright luck don't fail me now" I said as I began to run to the source of the voices.
What I saw was Naofumi injured with a two headed black dog attacking him while a little tanuki girl looking on in fear. I acted fast "Naofumi I'm coming!!!" I yell as I jump down to save my friend. I equip my rose dagger and I create a vine to throw the beast off of Naofumi. "What are you doing here?" he asks "what no thank you or hi?" I ask. Before I continued I turned to face the two headed black dog and finish it off. Before anything happened the dog barked in pain and died.
When it's body fell down I saw the little tanuki girl with a short sword in her hands and blood on her face. She dropped the sword and began to cry. The little girl ran over to Naofumi and hugged him tightly. "So where's that hi?" I asked "fine, hey there Y/N long time no see" he said sarcastically. "Geesh that didn't kill you" I said hitting his arm "ouch that hurts" he said in pain.
"Are you going to help master Naofumi?" the little girl asked "wait did she just call you master?" I asked Naofumi. "It's a long story can you please help me" he said. "Fine we'll talk later but I am going to charge you a 1,000 silvers for this" I said "wait are you serious? then I don't want your help" Naofumi said. "Calm down I was joking" I said as I used my powers to grow a flower that would heal Naofumi.
