"We're about forty minutes out from the base, sir," Agent Coulson nodded to the pilot of the jet and walked over to Steve Rodgers who was looking through a tablet at footage of Hulk and one of the attacks.

"So, this Doctor Banner was trying to replicate the serum that was used on me?" Rodgers asked

"A lot of people were. You were the world's first superhero. Banner thought gamma radiation might hold the key to unlocking Erskine's original formula," Coulson replied

"Didn't really go his way, did it?"

"Not so much. When he's not that thing though, guys like a Stephen Hawking," Steve looked confused

"He's like a smart person. I gotta say, it's an honour to meet you, officially," Coulson gushes and Rodgers smiles

"I sort of met you, I mean, I watched you while you were sleeping," Steve looked down and walked over to the pilot

"I mean, I was... I was present while you were unconscious from the ice. You know, it's really, it's just a... just a huge honour to have you on board," Coulson added

"Well, I hope I'm the man for the job," Steve nods

"Oh, you are. Absolutely. Uh... we've made some modifications to the uniform. I had a little design input," Coulson smiled

"The uniform? Aren't the stars and stripes a little... old fashioned?" Steve asked

"With everything that's happening, the things that are about to come to light, people might just need a little old fashioned," Coulson replied.

The Quinjet landed on a massive battleship that was in the middle of the ocean known as the Helicarrier. Agent Coulson walked down the ramp alongside Steve Rodgers and was met by Natasha Romanoff.

"Agent Romanoff. Captain Rodgers," Coulson introduced.

"Ma'am," Steve greeted

"Hi," Natasha nodded.

"They need you on the bridge," She turned to Coulson.

"See you there," He walked off quickly.

"There was quite the buzz around here, finding you in the ice. I thought Coulson was gonna swoon. Did he ask you to sign his Captain America trading cards yet?" Natasha asked as she and Steve Rodgers walked to the edge of the helicarrier.

"Trading cards?" Steve asked

"They're vintage, he's very proud," Bruce Banner suddenly walked out into the open looking confused and very nervous

"Dr Banner," Steve shakes his hand

"Oh, yeah. Hi. They told me you'd be coming," Banner replied looking around

"Word is you can find the cube," Steve replied

"Is that the only word about me?" Banner asked

"Only word I care about," Steve nodded.

"Must be strange for you, all of this," Banner gestured to their surroundings

"Well, this is actually kind of familiar," Steve replied as Natasha approached them

"Gentlemen, you may wanna step inside in a minute. It's gonna get a little hard to breathe," The Helicarrier started to shake as giant propellers gushed out of the water

"Is this a submarine?" Steve asked

"Really? They wanted me in a submerged pressurized metal container?" Banner jokes as they both move closer to the edge and look down as the Helicarrier starts to lift out of the ocean and into the air

"Oh no, this is much worse!" Banner yells over the loud machine. They enter the helicarrier and walk through as agents are rushing everywhere, people are manning huge screens and Nick Fury was standing on a platform in the centre of it all.

"We're at lock sir," Agent Hill says

"Good. Let's vanish," Fury replies. He then turns to face the newcomers

"Gentlemen," He greets, Steve hands him a $10 note which surprises Fury and he continues to look around. Fury walks over to Banner and shakes his hand

"Doctor, thank you for coming,"
"Thanks for asking nicely. So, uh... how long am I staying?" Banner replied

"Once we get our hands on the Tesseract, you're in the clear,"

"Where are you with that?" Banner asks. Fury then turns to Agent Coulson to explain as Natasha watches a screen with an image of Clint Barton on it

"We're sweeping every wirelessly accessible camera on the planet. Cellphones, laptops. If it's connected to a satellite, it's eyes and ears for us,"

"That's still not gonna find them in time," She shakes her head

"You have to narrow the field. How many spectrometers do you have access to?" Banner asks

"How many are there?" Fury repeats Banner's question

"Call every lab you know, tell them to put the spectrometers on the roof and calibrate them for gamma rays. I'll rough out a tracking algorithm based on cluster recognition. At least we could rule out a few places. Do you have somewhere for me to work?" Banner takes his jacket off

"Agent Romanoff, would you show Dr Banner to his laboratory, please," Fury instructs

"You're gonna love it Doc. we got all the toys," Natasha smiles as she leads Bruce Banner out of the main control room and down towards the lab.
