Jungkook had woken up with you sleeping in his arms after yesterday's confession and the kiss that you shared that led to a long conversation and debate about why anything between you two wasn't supposed to happen. He had ended up explaining that he had broken up with SaeRi once you mentioned that as an obstacle and you were strangely sad about it.

He seriously couldn't understand how someone could care so much about the feelings of a girl that you hadn't even stayed at her company much but apparently, you were one of those people who put yourself in the shoes of the other and blamed him for hurting her even though he knew well for sure that SaeRi didn't have any hidden feelings for him as you claimed that there might be a possibility. To him, all that was just an excuse to keep him away even though you seem to like him too, just like he does and honestly he was bothered by that.

He just couldn't understand what was it that thing that was making you so agitated enough to strongly deny any future romantic relationship going on between you too. He could swear that you could go on finding excuses all night if it wasn't for your tiredness to get over you and to shut down in the middle of a sentence, falling asleep.

Honestly, he had worried for an instant as that happened but after he realised you were just sleeping, he had just tugged you to bed and had lay beside you, taking you in his embrace as his mind kept replaying the words you had exchanged.

He was more than confused while you were sleeping peacefully in his arms because now he understood that staying ignorant about whatever was that you were hiding from him, wasn't going to bring him any benefits. He had to know and he was certain you weren't going to be ready to tell him by yourself anytime soon. So he was going to find out on his own and prove to you once and for all that whatever may be that thing that you so much seem to fear and it's being an obstacle for your relationship to advance, that it won't be strong enough to get in between his gratitude and feelings of love he had for you. He was going to find out and prove to you that his feelings were real and him being there for you was not just talk that the wind could carry away.

With such determination, he had fallen asleep yesterday forgetting that tomorrow was a work day which you had to wake up early for work. A work in which you were already one hour late because your alarm hadn't gone off and your body clock wasn't working properly cause of how tired you had been the previous night.

Thankfully Jungkook's mind started working after some moments that he took, looking around and then he snapped in realization before yelling your name.

"Y/N!!WAKE UP! YOU ARE LATE!" He moved your shoulder and you instantly flew off the bed while searching for a clock. As soon as your eyes fell on the one above the door you let a curse word escape your lips as you hurried to grab some clothes and change in a hurry, without paying attention to Jungkook's presence there. After you stripped and wore new clothes you quickly went to the mirror and brushed your hair then stromed out of the room.

Jungkook just stayed there, blinking once or twice before he smiled to himself a bit and plopped back on the bed.

"So all it takes to make her strip in front of me is to scream at her that she is late for work huh? Wish I had knew that sooner." He joked to himself while replaying the moment again in his head.

"What a pity. It went by so fast. Agh" He complained as he stretched his body then he couldn't help but laugh, imagining that you would have hit him if you were to have heard him say such stuff.

---Time skip---

Jungkook was sitting at his father's office, in his house, waiting for him to finish a phone call before he returned to the room and paid some attention to his visit. Thankfully Mr Jeon didn't take long as Jungkook may seemed calm on the surface but in reality he wasn't.

He wanted to know yet somehow he was a bit scared too and these contradictive emotions had started colliding within him, making him anxious.

"Sorry, I left you waiting."His father smiled at him before taking his seat but Jungkook didn't bother to return his friendliness.

"You said that you would tell me if I was to answer your question. I have the answer now so here I am." Jungkook went directly on the subject and his father's smile fell as he understood that this conversation held no place for anything lighthearted.

"I am glad you did. Tell me then, what are your feelings towards Y/N?" He looked at Jungkook's eyes waiting to hear something that he had been suspicious of for a long time as well as fearful of it.

"I am in love with her." Jungkook gave him a straightforward reply and Mr Jeon looked down, feeling the weight within him.

He had nothing against you. On the contrary. Even though he had lost his dear wife because of your father's mistake, he always understood that it was a mistake, plus he knew how much your father regretted it and paid for it with pain. He knew that he wasn't the only one hurting from the loss of his loved one and back then he had come by and met your father once or twice.

In the beginning, all he wanted to do was see eye to eye with the person responsible for the loss of his dear wife but then, even though he had some rage inside him when he stepped into your house, he couldn't help but see beyond his hate and sorrow. He couldn't help but see that he was in pain too and your father was suffering just like he was.

Mr Jeon might have had many reasons to blame him but when he saw the then-young you, returning from school and going to your room after gifting him a bright smile, in his eyes you looked just like his son. The young Jungkook who smiled on the surface but cried all night after his mother's death. The Jungkook who started getting colder and unapproachable more and more each day.

Mr Jeon could never have thought that fate would have had it this way for you and his son to meet. He could never have expected that you would be the one that would put him back on the right road and awaken his human values again. He was never expecting it but he sure was thankful that his son had changed for the better mostly because of your existence. However now he was scared that the truth might erase that change for the better and send him back to the way he used to be or even worse than before just because he knew how delicate the subject was and how much it meant to Jungkook.

"Is that love strong enough?" He asked him and Jungkook didn't hesitate to reply with a solid yes.

It may be complicated but if he was to be sure for something then that was the fact that you were the most unique person he had ever met. You were what made him feel like a better him every moment he was to live by your side. You were the opposite but for him, you matched perfectly. It didn't matter how many years would pass by or how much you could change or he could change. It didn't matter what love exactly was, to begin with, and if his love was right or not. All he knew was that he wanted your happiness and he cared for you. He loved you in the way only he can love.

"Okay then. If you say so, I will go ahead and tell you all about Y/N. "Mr Jeon told him as he took a deep breath and prepared himself to risk it all. To risk this improvement of his son's character that he so much had tried to bring for years.

"Y/n is the daughter of the man responsible for your mother's death Jungkook. She has the blood of the person you hated the most." He stated as he looked into Jungkook's eyes which seemed to have frozen in place at that very instant.

Of all the things he had thought, all the things he had assumed, all the scenarios he had tried to prepare himself for. This one definitely had not once crossed his thoughts. This one was...the worst of them all.
