Chapter 6: Gone.

Jai's POV:

It was around midnight that I was rudely awoken from my peaceful slumber and carelessly shoved around by rough hands. I would've been shouting extremities if it weren't for the cloth covering my mouth, turning my words into dull murmurs.

I struggled with all my might. Jai Arrons didn't go down without a bloody fight, that much was for sure.

"This one's stubborn," a deep voice rumbled grumpily, pushing me ahead of him. My hands were bound, but my feet were free for walking. "Kinda like you."

"Shut up, Xigbar," a female voice growled. Whoever the hell my two captors were... they sure didn't like each other.

"Oh, Larxene, you just wish you could be as pretty as young Jai here," Xigbar teased.

He untied the rag that covered my eyes, revealing his face. An eyepatch covered one eye, a scar stretching down his other cheek. His one eye that showed was a golden yellow that held malice and nonchalance in its depths. His flowing hair was in a ponytail, toned both silver and black. His skin was surprisingly tanned, seeming sun-kissed. But I got the vibe that Xigbar did most of his 'work' under the moon.

"What does that have to do with anything?" Larxene snorted darkly. I stared at the woman with golden hair framing her face and electric, turquoise eyes. She was certainly a lot prettier than me... but maybe her personality messed things up. Unlike Xigbar, her hair was untied and fell to just above her shoulders. Two tendrils of hair stuck up like antennas on either side of her face, which I will admit seemed strange to even me.

"I just like to piss you off," Xigbar chuckled, holding his palm up. A swirling, blue portal appeared before him, lighting up the darkness surrounding us.

Larxene scoffed, waving a hand around subtly. Xigbar was suddenly struck by a small strike of lightning, frazzling him slightly and loosening his grip on me. I was in awe of the lightning that Larxene had somehow produced, but now was not the time to let my jaw hit the ground. It was time to take action.

I kicked my leg back into Xigbar's stomach, earning a disgruntled cry from him. Getting beaten up by two girls in the space of one minute obviously wasn't something he usually dealt with. Larxene lunged for me, and I held out my hand to try and summon a weapon.

But dammit, nothing came.

Usually my sword materialised in my hand, but even though I was currently feeling powerful, I came up empty. In a moment of empowerment and what I believed to be strength, I had nothing. I was defenceless and weak.

"Don't do that again," Larxene snarled, her pale lips contorting into a scowl as she shoved me through the portal.

As I was experiencing the strange rush that came with leaving my current dimension and travelling to another, I realised the observation my eyes had made that hadn't quite connected with my brain.

Larxene and Xigbar both shared one particular thing in appearance - one I should have picked up on. It was something that should've set off alarm bells in my mind straight away. But it hadn't until it was too late, and I had never felt so stupid in my life.

They both wore black cloaks that fell to their ankles. Larxene and Xigbar were members of Organisation XIII. And in realising that, I also realised two other vital things.

One: that Axel, Roxas and Demyx were in fact members of the organisation.

Two: that Cloud hadn't been lying to me after all.
