"Happy birthday dear" I said, immediately she opened the door.
Today is Anabella's birthday, I tried her number when I woke up this morning, but it wasn't reachable.. I texted her, with a nice birthday wishes in which I drafted from one of those apps I barely use on my phone text app' ...
She have a great imagination for her birthday, like going to see the movie with me and Mervin her best friend, from there, to a luxurious foreign restaurant and many more that I can't even make a folder for in my brain..
luckily for me have been busy all day, I take my school activities more dearly than every other things, that only raise an alarm for distraction..
I know how much she loves attention, she love herself so much that she will never noticed she's hurting those that her close to her..
Sometimes, I wonder how Mervin copes with her, though she's not from a poor family but she's not up to Ana's standard.
She's always trying to meet up with her, go shopping, clubbing and partying together..
They've fought several times, but still, Mervin won't stop begging like she can't do without her.. they also have tittle in school like, slay ballers , campus queens' Africa godest' honestly, I hate it when I walk with her hearing those names.. that sucks right?
Maybe is those tittles, that made Mervin stick to her like her handbag. Lemme say Ana is her godmother..

"Really urh!" she scoffed..
Am holding a bunch of flowers trying my possible best to be romantic here, but this what I gat in return, seriously?'

"You know there's a seminar going on in school today and.._"
"After all my plans about my day, my special day.. you ruin it! Because of a seminar!" She interrupted me
I checked on my wrist watch "Ana, this 1:05pm, is still your day, and I can't ruin it for you dear" she rolled her eyes like am not making any point.
"Hey Albert" I heard Mervin voice from the kitchen, I never noticed she's in, I took a seat on the sofa facing the TV.
Then I noticed the least person I hate to see, Gabriel the same guy I caught having sex with Ana few months ago, sitting across the dinning room.. he's looking at me with a smirk on his face..
I only chuckled in return, I can't believe myself, am not really moved about his present, his more like am expecting this known surprise..
"What's our lovely pussycat doing in the kitchen" I said with a grin on, while I by pass Ana still standing like she wanna scold me, am very sure she have no idea that I know what's going on between her and her sex attendant' permit me to say.
Before I could get to her, she came out with a well decorated chocolate cake.

"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday! Happy birthday! Happy birthday to you!" She sang while she drop the cake on the center table with a wide pretty smile on her face.
"Woooow! You did this?.. I never knew you have some hidden talent in your tinny body" I said flapping my hands wide for a big hug.
"Silly you! It's my promise for her" she's really blushing now..

"Really?! Is this what you gat?" Ana contempt voice calls for attention.. she's looking at the cake like a garbage.
Seriously' "are you freaking kidding me! Is that the best manner to show appreciation? Why are you so mean!" I stated out pissed
I can feel Mervin sobbed heart, she's not putting on that happy bright face any more..

"But she knows I don't like cake like this, I'm not_..." The knock on the door interrupted her.
"I'll get it" I heard Gabriel said from nowhere, he came back with some boxes
"What's that?" Ana questioned
"I ordered pizza and cake, for plan B.. you know things don't work out the way we think at times.. I thought as much" he smirked while he dropped it on the table.

"Guy! You should have told her earlier that you're making an order instead of allowing her spend her precious time in the kitchen_.."

"Urhn!" Ana exclaimed, immediately she flipped the cake cover, placing her hands on her chest. She rushed to Gabriel for a hug "thanks sweetie! I love it!"
Gabriel didn't hesitate to peak her..

I didn't utter a word while we all ate the pizza.. Mervin is giggling like she's enjoying the conversation going on while eating, she's just trying to treat her hurt..

"You guys should get ready, we'll be heading to see the movie soon" Ana said 5mins after we finished the pizza..
I cut Mervin cake taking a hand full of it...
"Mmmm yummy!" I said wiping my lips with my tongue.. I cut another stuffing it into Mervin mouth
"It's too big for my small mouth" she said with excitement.. she's having a chocolate mustache and beard, I use my thumb to rub it off for her. She deserves to be happy, cos the cake really taste nice and I appreciate it..

Ana smile oddly with a flirty move towards me.
"You know, I own you" she said dancing are fingers all over my chest "and you know, you're meant for me, ONLY ME!" She said, she was about to kiss me before Gabriel voice crawled in. Ode' (what a fool)

"Okay okay! Time is running up! Let's make use of it to the needful" I owe this guy a punch, I swear! I'll patiently wait for the right time to pay him..

I left the house first, before other joined me..
Everyone is quiet except Ana, she have been receiving series of messages and calls from those I never knew they existed..

I dozed off while watching the movie, it's not just my thing to do repetition The wedding party' is an interesting movie though, I can't just see myself watching it the third time..
She have been laughing loud and slapping my laps, but the last one hit me hard..

"I know you don't care about me, but I won't get mad at you because is my birthday" she fold her arms and lean her head to the side.

"Have watched the movie before,well am sorry for whatever you think i should be sorry for" I didn't wait for her reply before getting up and leading her out.
