Chapter 14: never know

Kyara's pov:
I feel so relieved knowing I don't feel a burden anymore. If I don't feel it, there's no problem right. When me and Zach make our way back to the campsite I feel like everything is back to when I first came here. Except I now have some great new friends. Which includes Zach because we're friends and just that. When we get back for dinner, I sit down next to Jamilia who seems to be in an extra happy mood. "Hey! How was your day? What did you do?" She asks. "I went swimming with Zach. Well actually more like cliff-diving." I tell her. "Cool!" "Yeah how was your day. You seem happy, like you're literally glowing. What's up?!" I see a twinkle in her eyes. "Louis might have asked me to be his girlfriend and I might have said yes!" She scream whispers. "Omg you and Louis?? How did I not see this coming. Omg J I'm so happy for you!!" "Yeah me too! I like him so much!!" We talk about it more and before we know it dinner's over. We walk out of the main-building as Zach approaches me. "Hey. I'm writting a song that I'd like your opinion on and maybe some input. Do you want to go over to the beach and I could sing it and we could work on it together?" "Yeah ofcourse, let's go." We go to the beach as he sets up his guitar. He starts to play and sings his first notes so clear it pierces right trough my heart. The lyrics are so emotional and the expression on his face makes me think he is having a hard time singing this in front of me. I don't know if it's me or just people in general. When he's finished there are literal tears in my eyes. "Wow zach. That was literally the most beautiful thing I've ever heard." "You really think so?" "Yes! It's so vulnerable and personal and it literally makes me emotional." "Thank you. It was kinda hard performing it for you. I don't normally open up about my feelings so easily." "Well I'm really happy you decided to open up to me." "Do you think it needs some finetuning? Like any improvements? Lyrically or musically?" "No I don't think so. It was perfect in my eyes. Unless you want to change something." "No i don't. It's good like this." "It's perfect." We talk a little longer and then I make my way back to my cabin. When I go and sit down I decide to text Scott.
Kyara: hey baby!💘
Scott💕: hey
Kyara: how are you doing?😘
Scott💕: ok
Kyara: babe what's wrong?
Scott💕: nothing
Kyara: babe. I know somethings wrong your being short with me. Now tell me what's bothering you.
Scott💕: who the hell is this Zach kid?

My heart stops. What does he know? He can't read your mind and nothing happened between you two there's nothing that he can know kyara.

Kyara: we're friends. Why?
Scott💕: that's it?
Kyara: yes babe that's it. what made you think otherwise?
Scott💕: you've been hanging with him a lot and you're writing with him. You never know what happens when you write with someone.
Kyara: are you being serious right now? We're just friends Scott. I love you!
Scott💕: you sure about that?
Kyara: i can't believe you would even entertain the thought I'd ever do that to you. Do you even know me?
Scott💕: yes. I do. Somethings up. You're acting weird. I don't know if you still love me.
Kyara: I do. I love you Scott lovewood.
Scott💕: ok

Wtf was that. Why is he acting this way. He should just trust me. This isn't even funny. I can't with him right now.
