Chapter 13: Planning The Trip

I was in Home Evilnomics after I had visited Giles. Maddie was in Chemythstry probably whipping up a useful potion for our trip to the dark forest. I felt my phone vibrate. I got a hext from Maddie.

Meet me in the halls after class. I'm making a hat-tastic potion to help you out {:-)

"Raven! Stop hexting in class!" Baba Yaga yelled.

"But Madame Yaga, hexting in class is bad, but isn't that the whole point of being a rebel?" I dared to say.

She stared at me. "Oh broomsticks Raven! You win! You're lucky I won't turn you into a roach!" she yelled.

"Pssst, Raven, nice comback," Cerise whispered.

"Cerise, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"I um, have my dad's class now, he just let me go here," she whispered

"So class, as I was saying, today we are going to create the worst tasting cake ever after!" said Baba Yaga.

At that momment, the ball had rung.

"Oh hex! Well, next class we will continue, you are dismissed."

I ran to the halls to get Maddie.

"Hey Maddie I-"

She was only staring at something from a distance.

"Uh Mad-" I tried to continue, but what she had been looking at had cought my attention.

I saw the worst thing ever after. Cupid was... KISSING DEXTER! I wanted to just melt like a witch. This was a total fairy fail!

They had stopped and Cupid chuckled. Her dimples were very visable.

"Can't wait to see you after school!" she said flattering.

"Can't wait to see you, sweetheart."

Sweetheart? He used to call me that. I sighed and looked at the floor.

"Turn that frown upside-down!" Maddie said hanging upside down in mid-air. Her frown seemed to look like a smile when she was upside-down.

"Oh Maddie, let's just get that undo potion," I said.

"Abso- possitively!" she said returning to the ground again.

I made sure I had all of my things packed in my backpack.

"Okay, let's do this."

We quickly rushed to the first floor of the school.

"Hey, where are you guys going?" Apple asked stopping us.

"Oh, we, were just uh, going to get a Hocus Latte," I said sheepishly.

"Hmmm, well, if you are going, make sure to bring me a Cinnamon Nutmeg hocus Latte with apple sauce," she said smiling.

"Got it!" I said.

We ran outside the door.

"Whoosh, that was close," I said relieved.

"Yeah, who knows what EVIL things Apple was planning to do to you!" Maddie said, madder than ever.

"Maddie, Apple is the sweetest person ever after!" I said giggling a little.

"Maybe she's the real daughter of the Evil Queen and maybe, you're the daughter of Snow White," she said.

"Maddie, have you been drinking too much tea?" I asked.

"That's absurd! There is no such thing as too much tea!" she said a little offended.

"Okay, let's just focus, Maddie do you have the map?"

"Yes, one second," she said.

She started to pull many objects from her hat. A teabag, a rubber ducky, a puppet, a paddle, Hopper Croakington... Wait what?!

"Hey, how come I was in your hat? Hopper asked.

"Whoops, I must've mistake you with some other frog," Maddie said.

"But, uh, I'm in my human form."

"About that..."

"Hopper, you can go back to class I" I said.

He shrugged and ran back to school.

"Aha! Here's the map!

She gave it to me.

"Okay, I found a shortcut, we go through through the Enchanted Forest. Over the Enchanted forest, there is another forest leading to the Dark Forest. Wow! I should've thought of that when I went with Apple," I said.

"Remember, we must bring it back by 7:00 p.m., or else, the love spell will last forever after!" Maddie yelled.

"I got it, hopefully this will work.

"Oh friend, you really like Dexter don't you?" Maddie asked.

"Yes, a lot to be exact," I said sadly.

She pat my back.

"Hey, where are we going?" she asked.

"To get a Hocus Latte, I don't want to let Apple down!"

Maddie jumped right through the door.

"One Hocus Latte with tea please!" she yelled accross the whole shop.

Everyone stared at her.

"Uh, this is the Beanstalk Bakery," a girl with short pink hair said.

"Oops, wrong place!" she yelled back loudly.

"Maddie!" I whisper-yelled.

"Sorry."

Now we saw the right place. Trust me, since Maddie read the sign for 3 minutes to make sure it wasn't some other place.

We walked in and the smell of Pixie dust Latte filled the whole place.

"Mmmmm."

"Hi, um, can I get a Salted Caramel Hocus Latte?" I asked.

"Ooooh! And a Honey Tea Hocus Latte!" Maddie said excited.

"Also a Cinnamon Nutmeg hocus Latte with apple sauce," I said as nice as possible.

She yelled out the order to a worker and got ready.

"Can you also do it fast, she is the daughter of the Evil Queen and I don't want to make her impacient," she whispered to the woman preparing the lattes.

It was loud enough for me to hear, and it made me feel bad.

"Don't listen to her, she doesn't get a happily ever after either," Maddie said.

"Alright."

The lady gave us the lattes.

"Thank you," I said smiling.

Her eyes opened wide. "Uh, no problem your highness," she said nervously.

I rolled my eyes and took my latte while Maddie carried the other two.

I saw Blondie and Briar outside.

I went up to Briar.

"Hey guys, do you mind giving this to Apple?" I asked.

"I don't mind," Briar said.

"Oooh, and I don't mid if I took a sip," Blondie said brightly.

Briar pulled the latte from her. 

"No, this is for Apple," Briar stated.

"Humph!" Blondie pouted.

"Catch you later," I said.

They waved goodbye.

"Alright Maddie, let's go to the Enchated Forest!"
