Chapter 9 - American Sports? Part 1

Percy POV

Once Nico and Will had gone up the stairs, I guessed we wouldn't see them again for the rest of the night. The place Annabeth had slapped me stung a bit.

"what's wrong with him?" Ron asked incredulously

"who Nico? Nico's older sister dies when he was 10... and.." Jason trailed off. Harry gave the boys bedroom a pitying glance

"I know how it feels" he said under his breath

"but he does have a... younger?" Piper slightly asked "half-sister"

"where's she?" Hermione asked, Piper shrugged "actually where are all of your siblings?" I shrugged

"my little sister isn't born yet, and my half brother already has a life in America, he stayed there" I said

"my cousins in Boston, and Nico's half sister lives with her mum in America" Annabeth explained.

"Thalia's right here" Jason said reaching to hug his sister. She glared at him, he stopped.

"so, Jason and Thalia are siblings?" Harry asked. I nodded.

"Thalia looks like her dad and Jason looks like their mum; they both have their father's eyes" I said grinning. Harry made an oh sound. Ron whispered something in Harry's ear, his eyes brighten.

"are you guy going to try out for Quidditch teams?" he asked excitedly I glanced at Annabeth, she looked back at me, and shrugged. None of the 11 of us knew what that was

"what's that?" Jason asked. I hoped it wouldn't give us away

"HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW?!?" Ron yelled, we shushed him, to make sure that Nico and Will weren't disturbed. I also silently cursed at the gods for not telling us much about these wizards

"in America we play different sports" Clarisse stated. Every demigod present agreed.

"well Quidditch is a sport played in the air" Jason's eyes lit up "there are two teams, seven people on a team and 3 different types of balls. One quaffle, two blugers and a snitch" he counted on his fingers "the quaffle is basically a regular ball, the chasers have to get the quaffle into the three hoops, the blugers try to hit the players out of the air and the snitch is one of the most important things in the game. It not only ends the game but also gives the seeker who catches the snitch wins an extra 150 points" Harry explained, happily.

"I'll try out!!" Jason said, while most of the other demigods shook their heads.

"I'm definitely not" think of Zeus and how he'll accidentally shoot me with a lightning bolt "I tend to not do so well in the sky" I grinned. Annabeth face palmed

"might as well" she said.

"what sports do you play in America?" Hermione asked. Sure, I thought, we play a lot of sport. Like capture the flag, rock climbing, being chased by monsters, flying the pegisi, the Roman's have war games

"Capture the Flag and Rock climbing" Piper, Jason and Leo said at the same time. Ron snorted

"Capture the flag?!?" he asked rudely.

"our capture the flag ends up with half of the campus inside the infirmary" Clarisse said coldly at him. "the reason someone hasn't died is because it is our only rule in capture the flag. We play every Friday night, and us 13 could probably take on your whole school and win" she continued glaring down at him.

Hermione POV

I still didn't believe the Americans, they play kids games, yet there in the best school in America? It didn't add up, I could tell they were hiding something. I just didn't know what.

Another thing I found not right was the fact that they were all different ages, Nico was the youngest at 14 but Percy and Annabeth were about 16 maybe 17. But they were all in the same year.

I was going to figure it out. These Americans are suspicious people, I had worked out almost all the mysteries that had been put in front of me, this was no different. Just another mystery waiting to be solved.

A/N - I know that this isn't long, but the next few chapters are going to be long and have a lot of story in them, like Dumbledore's army, the Golden trio will start to get suspicious of the demigods, i'm taking my time if i'm really honest
