Peter Stark: Life After Civil War

Part 27

Peter's pov

Everyone spent 30 minutes at the museum and I definitely understood why. This was probably the coolest part in the building. Even MJ was impressed with the Black Widow display.

We were on our way to the lower intern labs when Flash grabbed my arms and stopped me.

"So Penis how did you do it? A gold badge, not possible" Flash asked me hitting my shoulder

"I applied just like everyone else. He gave me this badge" I told him and the rest of his groupies

"Exactly Eugene. Tony Stark obviously recognizes talent, that's why he hired Peter" MJ said looking up from her book before she walked towards the front of the group

"Sure. Everyone knows you are nothing but a charity case. Tony Stark obviously felt bad that you have no family, that's why. And once Tony Stark sees me, you will be replaced" Flash said and he shoved me against the wall

That hurt. I felt the slight tears form in my eye, but I was not going to give him the satisfaction of seeing me cry. I just shook it off and joined my class as we took the elevator to the intern labs.

As we walked in, some of the interns waved to me and the others just stared at me. I could hear a few of them whispering about me like I was some celebrity. I really needed to show my face around here more often.

"Mr. Parker....we took the liberty of grabbing your usual latte. We heard you were visiting today and observing a tour. Would you like to see our work?" An intern asked and handed me a coffee

I could also see a few other interns starting to clean up their work stations.

"Oh...um...thank you for this. I would love to stay here and look at your work, but I'm on a field trip with my class. But I will have some time afterwards" I told her and she nodded before walking to the other side

"Did they just hand you a coffee?" MJ asked me and my whole class just looked at me

"It's not a big deal...Kate please continue" I asked hoping to get some attention off of myself

"Of course Mr.Parker. So these are the lower intern labs. We usually work on our own individual projects or we work on technology for any new products that Tony Stark gives us. Currently we are developing the new Stark Phones. Feel free to look around and ask the interns question, but no touching" Kate informed us

Everyone went off in their own groups and started looking around. I looked around at some of the prototype phones and looked at their equations. Some of their work was wrong, so I grabbed a marker and fixed them.

"Mr. Scott! Peter is writing on the board" Flash complained

"Thank you Mr. Parker! We have been working on this for a couple of weeks, I'm glad you came down here. Your reputation precedes you" Andrew, one of the interns says happily as he shakes my hand

"No problem" I told him and handed him back the marker

I looked at Flash and he looked really mad. I just continued to look around and drink my coffee, which I still couldn't believe they actually brought me coffee. I was only down here twice a month, and I didn't think most of them knew me.

"Well isn't this a surprise. I must have gotten lost on my way to the cafeteria" I heard someone say behind me

And so it begins. I turned around to see Sam standing behind me. Immediately people walked to him and started asking questions.

"It's Falcon!"

"I can't believe he is here"

"Why is he here?"
