As I stepped back into the palace, I thought about Motoyasu. He was the man I was cloned from. I had been a nameless mud monster before this. I just couldn't understand his devotion to Malty.
"Takt, did you find the Shield Devil?!" Malty asked me.
"The encounter was interesting..." I told her.
"Tell me everything, leave no stone unturned!" she snapped.
I told her everything that occurred and she shook her head.
"I can't believe he got away" Malty snarled.
"You and me both," an unknown voice cackled.
A gawky looking girl with dark hair emerged from the shadows. She had a goddess seal in each of her eyes. I remembered her from somewhere.
"Where are my manners, I'm Hanawasuit," she cackled.
Malty's eyes went wide with fear and knew exactly who this chick was.
"That's impossible, the goddesses are imprisoned!" Malty snorted.
"What if I said, I'm from the future?" Hanawasuit sneered.
"May I ask how far in the future?" I asked.
"A couple of billion years, give or take?" she sneered.
Before the three of us could continue, a guard entered the room.
"My Queen, we have captured Caneis and his army," the soldier told us.
"Bring him in!" Malty ordered.
An unshaven man was thrown at the floor. Hanawasuit skipped around the man with glee.
"Oh my, you're such a good girl," she said to the man.
"What are you doing, you little-Arf!" the man said.
Before long, the unshaven man was a female dog. I looked on in horror as it happened while Malty was in a state of bliss. How was this enjoyable?!
"Have I proven my worth?" Hanawasuit asked.
"I believe you have," Malty smiled.
I was afraid of this plan already...
