I Found You

Chapter 17: Now We Wait

When Levi woke up Eren was already awake lying face up and looking at his hand.

"Hey what are you doing?" Eren looked over at Levi and then back at his hand. Why is he so complicated? That's something Levi would never understand about him he's got this way of acting that makes him unpredictable.

"Okay then." Levi flipped over and slept some more. Hours that's how long everyone had been waiting for them to come out and they haven't heard a single noise come from that room, everyone was starting to get concerned.

Levi missed when things were simpler and they didn't have these kind of problems, right now he'd rather be dealing with Titans just so he didn't have a depressed Eren on his hands. Hanji and Mikasa were passing the time by playing uno while Armin was reading and commenting on their terrible strategy.

"Excuse me smartass but uno is a game of luck not strategy." Armin huffed and Hanji continued her game with full focus.

"Skip." Mikasa continued with her turn until she was at uno. Hanji put down her card and was expecting to win since she had two cards left but Mikasa pulled another card and won.

"God fucking dammit! I blame you Armin." Armin was slightly afraid and why would it be his fault? He was just reading a book. Armin ran into the guest room and locked the door pressing his body weight against it while Hanji banged on the door.
"I'm coming in there!"

"N-no you're definitely not." Levi walked out of the room with a tired expression in his face and he was slightly slouching. He didn't look good at all and Hanji was sure that Eren was the exact same way.

"Could you keep the yelling to a minimum?" Armin sighed and thanked Levi for saving him from Hanji.

"And if you murder him do it quietly." Hanji did an evil laugh and began to pull at the door again.

"What! Levi P-please! She actually will kill me." Levi ignored his plea and went into the kitchen to grab coffee where Mikasa was washing dishes.

"So how Is he." Mikasa didn't look at him and continued with what she was doing. Levi really didn't know what to tell her, he was silent and depressed that was about it.

"The same I guess." Levi grabbed his coffee and sighed before telling her he was gonna go try again. Levi really didn't like coffee but this was a day where he definitely needed it. Levi walked into the room and found Eren balled up on the bed still. He walked up to Eren and nudged him.
"It's pretty outside you should get up and go get some fresh air." Eren didn't reply but he turned to look at Levi and Levi took a moment to take in his looks his hair was swept over his eyes that looked glossy and tired. Levi knew this boy needed to leave the vicinity of this area but he wasn't budging. Levi pulled the hair behind Eren's ear. He didn't need it to be moved but Levi wanted to see his face better.

Eren pulled away from his hand and leaned up he hissed from the pain he still felt in his ribs and attempted to stand up. Levi watched as Eren limped out the door and to the kitchen. He stopped to watch Hanji drag Armin out of the room with a girly scream following. If Eren wasn't so depressed he probably would have helped but he just needs a drink right now.
Eren walked past Mikasa while she quietly watched him grab water and chug it then continue outside where he took a deep breath of fresh air.

"Feeling better?" Mikasa came behind him and hugged him laying her head against his back. Eren took a deep breath again he wanted to change the look of scenery also he needed to speak to Jean because everyone thought they were faking..they weren't.

"I want to go back to school or out I don't care which." Mikasa loosened up her grip and rubbed circles on his back.

"Okay I'll see if we can avoid school and go to the mall, seems more fun anyways and less people you know."
