"Red? Red! Red, wake up!" Solomon whispered as he kept lightly punching Red in an attempt to wake him up.
Red had been asleep for the past hour, and Solomon had been ordered to wake him up by his father.
"Red, please wake up! If you don't then dad's gonna get mad at me..." Solomon mumbled to himself as he held Red in his arms.
That's when Solomon got an idea...
He knew that food was one of the many things that Red liked, so why not bribe him with it...?
"Hey Red, I got some fried chicken-" Solomon whispered to Red. "Chicken... Save me a leg.... Gimme a piece... can I have some...." Red mumbled sleepily as he woke up lying in Sol's arms.
"Morning sleepyhead! You have a good nap, buddy?" Solomon asked, as he started to cradle Red in his arms.
"Wait, where's the chicken? Where... Is there even a chicken here...?" Red mumbled as he looked around.
"Sorry, we're not having chicken for dinner today, buddy... But my mom made some kinda soup for dinner instead!" Solomon exclaimed as Red let out a disappointed groan.
"Solomon! Is your little friend awake yet?!" Solomon's father yelled.
"Yeah, he's awake now! He was just taking a nap, that's all!" Solomon shouted back in frustration, before turning to Red. "You know, sometimes I kinda hate him for always yelling at me..." Solomon whispered.
"Yeah, I kinda hate him too. 'Cause he's a butthead." Red mumbled back jokingly, before the two of them began to laugh at Red's little joke.
