"Alright now we gon do a prayer and y'all can go" paster James said in his mic leaning on the podium.
We all hummed in response.
I looked down in my lap and seen jada slumped I shook my head looking up at the pastor.
"heavenly father.." he paused "I come to you. these people in this church, your house are all going through something but keeping that fake smile on their faces, I'm asking you to relieve all of their problems, protect them through everything the good and bad"
I wiped my tears listening to him pray, my mom took jada out my arms while my dad hugged me, I hugged him tight as if He would disappear.
"Now all these people shedding tears God cause of something they're going through or went through" he looked over everyone, mostly people are crying or keeping a blank face but you can tell they're going through something .
"In the Bible Philippians 4:6 it says Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done" he read from the Bible .
"I said Philippians 4:6 it says Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything! Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done!" he repeated again sternly this time.
"I know many of you all are going through a lot I can see it on your faces, pray when you go to sleep tonight don't just ask for blessings cause just you being able to pray to him is a blessing ask for forgiveness and talk to him one on one, thank him for everything he has done even the bad things that's happened they'll turn into something beautiful eventually I promise you that"
"God, Protect everyone in this church, put fire in their heart they've never felt before. i'm asking you to guide everyone in this house right now into the right direction Lord. In Jesus name we pray amen"
"Amen" was said throughout the church as my dad held me still.
"It's okay baby girl" he said kissing my temple, rubbing my back.
"Y'all have a good one, Wednesday service is canceled but be ready Sunday morning bright and early" pastor James said dismissing us.
"I love you daddy" I mumbled into his chest.
"I love you too baby" he said softly patting my back.
"Mommy" jada said causing me to tear away from my dad and look at her.
