Chapter 20

"To the world Camila Cabello is dead."

Camila eyes widened in pure disdain and shock. Lauren had gone too far this time. "What? First you kill my husband, then you make my family serve ties with me and now this." the furious words poured out of the smaller girl.

"I am trying to protect you" Lauren spat.

"You are trying to protect me after turning my life miserable? What the hell do you want from ME!"

Lauren was not in the mood to deal with anything and this angered her so much. She stepped forward to the girl in front of her and grabbed her hand tightly pulling her closer.

"Fear me and hate me. My presence is intolerable right?"

Camila was now shaking trying to free herself. Until Lauren shook her and looked her dead in the eyes, she stopped struggling.

"This fear, this hate,this intolerance is all very important because this will not let you get separated from me and it will keep you alive as well." The green eyed officer pushed Camila and she stumbled almost falling backwards. Lauren walked towards the car.

Camila looked lost, toward the ground her eyes wondered.

"Just kill me now, I am dead to the world anyways."

This made Lauren turn back and walk up to Camila and without warning she placed a cloth containing chloroform on Camila's mouth, holding her tight. Within seconds Camila had passed out.

As Lauren did this she thought to herself *Your life is out of danger since Alejandro has considered you dead. I had no option left to protect you from him.*

She lifted the mow unconscious girl into her arms and placed her gently into the car.

"Mam where are you going to take her?" Ally asked

"There is a place where she will be safe. What about the doctor? Did you find him?"

"I was about to tell you mam. Officers had arrested him about an hour ago but before we could get anything out of him, that scoundrel committed suicide."

"Part of our mission is accomplished. The girl is dead to him."

And with those last words Lauren drove of with Camila.

Meanwhile back at the Cabello mansion sorrow filled the air as Alejandro held an memorial service for Camila who had "died". Sinu and Sofi were heartbroken, they had not taken the previous event's too well.

All their relatives ,close community members and anyone who wanted to come were invited. Alejandro planned on using this to his own benefit. A few hours into the service it was time for Alejandro to give his tribute or speech for Camila.

"To all who have gathered here today, we mourn with utmost sorrow for we have lost one of the dearest souls. Camila was the best of us, it pains me that she has past before me. I would do anything to have her back and give my life in return. She may have not been my biological daughter but I have always treated her like she was. All this years ago when my friend died and left her in my care, I promised I would never let anything happen to her. I have failed him and myself." Alejandro paused for a moment adding his favorite dramatic effects and let tears roll down his face. The press and media were already live streaming his talk all over Miami.

" I am your culprit. I made a mistake, I could not get Camila here. So I want apologize for that. As most of you know she was taken by the CSF (camren special forces) this lead to her ...her death. It makes me so angry just thinking about it. They did what they do best...murder. There was a line of cars, can someone please explain to me how only the one she was in exploded? And how is that murdering officer Lauren STILL ALIVE!" He was now raising his voice speaking to the camera's.
