Chapter 21 Relief

The poor employee of the ministry of war had dinner alone, he didn't know why Tine and Sarawat didn't came to the dining hall as usual to have dinner with him like they used to, at first he didn't care that much about it since he thought that maybe they decided to have dinner in another restaurant of the ship but then several terrible thoughts stared filling his mind, what if someone killed them? the letter was pretty clear about it, if he couldn't do it by himself someone else was ready to do his job. 

He was about to go back to his cabin when he heard that a maid was knocking inside Tine's cabin.

"Sir? are you alright sir?" the maid repeated but it looked like nobody answered to her question. the tragic thoughts appeared again so Fukuda decided to knock and check by himself

"Oh, Fukuda san, good evening" a maid said as she opened the door, he bowed and asked

"Is there a problem? I heard that you were calling for Tine and Sarawat from the corridor"

"Yes sir you're right, they closed the door this afternoon and didn't come out since that moment, at first there were noises at least like they were fighting but then... well... nothing, only silence now" the maid replied concerned

"Let me check" Fukuda added, he went on the private promenade and saw some of Tine's clothes on the floor, he looked inside the bedroom from one of the windows and saw both of them laying on the bed like unconscious, he managed to open the door of the bedroom from the promenade and as he entered he almost fainted. 

"oh my God... it's... it's too late..." he said, Tine slowly opened his eyes, as he noticed Fukuda standing there his eyes widened, he took a blanket to cover his naked body and shouted

"It isn't what it looks like!" after this Sarawat woke up as well and he got the same reaction as Tine

"Oh my God you are not dead..." Fukuda said sighing in relief

"Wait what?" Sarawat asked confused

"I thought you were dead... it's ok..." Fukuda added

"Wait... you aren't disappointed or... I don't know...." Tine said

"About what? What were you doing on the bed... together" Fukuda replied smirking and sitting on a chair near the door.

"Well... we were..." 

"having sex? If you meant that well... I don't care and I don't know why I should care... I do it with my boyfriend basically everytime we meet" Akio said laughing

"yeah right... wait... what? A boyfriend?!" Tine said shocked

"Yes, I have a boyfriend, I suppose I can tell you that since you're in the same situation, right?" Fukuda replied

"Well... I think you're right Fukuda san... but why are you here?" Sarawat asked

"Come to the first class lounge at 10 PM, I will talk to you there, see you later" Fukuda replied, as both Tine and Sarawat nodded Fukuda went away and went to the cafe in order to have a drink before the meeting in the first class lounge. 

"Wow...  a boyfriend" Tine said still sitting on the bed, Sarawat was already getting dressed and he looked at him

"What do you mean? He's kind of attractive actually" Sarawat said smirking

"well yes... wait what the fuck! By the way, I mean that I couldn't imagine that he was gay" 

"you thought that I was straight and I thought the same thing as I saw you the first time, you can't tell if someone is gay just by looking at him" Sarawat replied

"yeah right... well, do you want to go somewhere else before going to the meeting with Fukuda?" Tine asked

"I don't know, what do you have in mind?" Sarawat asked since he couldn't help but think about what he did with his new boyfriend.

"I found a book from the library of the ship in Karl's cabin, we might go and give it back, just to spend some time outside of this cabin..."

Sarawat nodded and they went to the library, as they gave the book back they went out for a walk, the wind was pretty cold but not that much actually. Tine looked at Sarawat and then back at the sea when he found the spot where Karl killed himself, he stopped. 

"Tine?"

"Sarawat... do you know why he did it?" 

"Didn't I tell you it?" 

"Tell me again... please..." 

"Fischer wanted to denounce Karl's gay relationship, Karl didn't knwo what to do but when he received the news about his boyfriend's death he understood that he didn't care about his life anymore, when Fischer tried to kill me he saved me... and then... well you know that part" Sarawat replied and walked away trying not to look at that part of the deck. 

A few hours later they went to the lounge to meet Fukuda but he wasn't there and they didn't understand why, it was pretty unusual for Fukuda to come late. they waited for an hour and then they went back to their cabin.

Fukuda was in the longe before Tine and Sarawat arrived  but then he got a letter

"Go to the gym and wait there, there is a surprise that you will love... and it's related to love... and your job, go there or you're going to regret it" 

He immediately go there, he got inside the gym on the lifeboat deck when he heard that someone locked the door at the entrance, he tried to open it when he saw a woman whose face was covered by a lare hat and a young man... he could easly recognize that guy...

"RYO! SUZUKI RYO! COME HERE! PLEASE! IT'S ME!" but as Ryo tried to go to his lover who was calling, the woman pulled him and forced him to go away
