Personality: If there's one word to describe Matteo, it's ruthless. He's generally cold, brutal, unforgiving, and insanely intimidating. He has a confidence that asserts his dominance and he knows he runs the place. It could be noted that he can be a bit proud, but he's not just someone who knows how to end a man. He's incredibly crafty and intelligent, and particularly sly. He's loyal to himself above all and keeps his friends close but his enemies closer. Many would describe Tio as being cutthroat and dangerous, but it's a necessary way of life for him. Everything is about survival and so he's simply made himself the best at it. Tio is manipulative too, using others to do his bidding—hence why he's been given the nickname 'the Godfather'. He lacks a level of empathy for others and so he's perceived as being heartless and lacking emotion—but he's entirely human, even if he isn't the type to show mercy or compassion. If someone double crossed Tio, they'd better sleep with one eye open because he's the type to extract revenge, never one to easily forgive, if forgive at all. In short, he's a dangerously skilled man who knows what he's doing, where he's going, and how to run the roost. They don't call him the King for nothing.

Background: Matteo grew up in New York City—the Big Apple, if you will. He was born into a lower class Italian family, of which his parents worked tirelessly to provide for him and his younger siblings. Tio grew up on the rougher side of town, but it's where he was first introduced to a local Italian gang which took him in and made him one of their own. It wasn't until he was older that Tio realized the gang he considered blood had deeper ties to the mafia, in which they indirectly aided the bigger group. Despite the shadiness, Tio learned a lot from his experiences and it made him who he is today. Plus, he initially did it to help his family, but over time it became his life, his devotion, and his family. Until he got caught for his crimes. How, if Tio was such an excellent criminal—which he was? He was betrayed and turned in. It's why he's even more cutthroat than usual in the small Arizona prison they sent him to. Though, the moment Matteo gets out of jail, he's headed to extract his revenge against one of his companions, his blood, who deliberately turned him in.
