Chapter 37 Well spent

Aaradhana POV

We cannot blame life or fate for everything. It's also us, who take those stupid decision. My Sunday morning sleep was disturbed by a phone call. I attended the call without seeing the caller ID. "Hello" i said in a sleepy tone.

"Aaradhana, get ready now. I'm coming to your house now. We are leaving" he said hurriedly.

"What?" i looked at my mobile. 8am. "Did you forget? Today is Sunday and your calling me at 8?" Obviously Sunday, i'll wake up for lunch only now he is infuriating me

"Your mother called me now. Some rituals is pending it seems and today is auspicious day she wanted to do today itself. Get ready now. I'll be there in half an hour" he said and hung up the call.

I stood up from my place. Tasha was sleeping. I can't leave her alone here. "Wake up" i pushed her.

"kya di?" she asked irritatingly

"Get ready we are leaving" i said

"Where?" she asked me

"Mumbai. I'll introduce you to my mom" i said. I went to bathroom to get ready.

After coming out of bathroom, i saw Tasha, she was smiling at her mobile. "Get ready Tasha, Koushik will be here in any minute" i said

"Di, i'm not feeling well. I'll come next time" she said

"What? Your coming with me. What work do you have Miss?" i asked her

"I'm going to relax di. And i have some work di" she said.

Before i could say anything, i heard car horn "I think Koushik came. Are you sure you will fine alone here" i asked her

"di! I'm not a kid" she said.

"I know. Call me if you need anything. I'm just 3 hrs away from here. Okay?" i asked her. She gave me thumbs up "Lock the door" i said

"Don't worry. I'll be fine. You enjoy with bhaiya" she winked. I kicked her leg. She winced in pain.

I came out and saw, Koushik was waiting in car. I opened the back door. "I'm not a driver" he said. I opened the front door and sat. I bukled my seat belt, he started to drive.

"What kind of ritual is that? It's been 8 months since we married, why now?" i asked

"To your kind information, we didn't marry like a normal couple. It was accident. They weren't able to finish everything at that time so she is doing now." he said. I became silent. He throwed me sandwich. "Have this" he said

I started to eat.

"Have you eaten?" i asked with food in my mouth

"Eat or talk." he said

"i'm multi talented. Tell me have you eaten?" i asked

"Yeah" he said.

The ride was surprisingly silent. I dozed off.

"Wake up" he pushed me. We reached my house.

I ran to my house directly. Pundit was doing poojas, i went to mom and hugged her "Mom i missed you so much " i said. I didn't leave her.

"Don't lie. You have been married for 8 months but i didn't receive any call or messages" she said angrily. I didn't leave her hug.

"I miss your scolding" i kissed her.

"Now go and get ready" she gave my dress.

"Not before seeing papa" i said. I went and met my dad. I hugged him tightly
