[A/N: Uh, yeah. Some spoilers for some dedication stories, I guess.]

Some of the survivors and hunters would say that the history of Freddy Reily and Leo Beck could be the plot of an entire soap opera. Childhood friends, a love triangle, toxic friendship, betrayal. Almost everything good soap opera needs. Their story went from mouth to ear, and soon everyone knew how Freddy convinced Leo that buying a gun factory is a good idea. how Leo lost a lot of money. how Freddy and Leo's wife at that time, Martha, took all his possessions and left him in the mud. how Leo became an alcoholic man who couldn't raise a nine-year-old girl, so he put her in an orphanage, and how Leo decided to... well... end it all. The fire in the factory that took his life.

Yet... nobody knows what happened to Freddy and Martha afterward, apart from the fact that Freddy is also a survivor. Every time Emma would ask "How's my mom?", he'd avoid the question, but she could see him fighting tears. At the beginning, she thought it was because of the guilt. He DID cause the wreckage of a family and he IS one of the reasons Leo is dead (Or undead).

Then she saw the way he looks at her angel, her cure. He was looking at doctor Emily Dyer with pure hatred for the past few days. There was more rage in his eyes when he looked at her than in every time he fought with Kreacher Pierson.

She should've asked something, sure. But her mind was busy trying to avoid Kreacher and trying to impress Emily.

She should've asked.

"Leo beck.

Yes. I know you might be angry at me for everything.

But I need to tell you something about Martha."

The hunter began to read the letter he got. He recognized Freddy's handwriting, even after all these years. Why does he want to talk about his ex-wife? Leo had no clue.

"A little bit after Martha and I got married, she became pregnant."

'Oh, goodie.' Leo thought. 'They probably have a kid now. Good for them.'

"However, after everything with the Minerva factory got worse, she left."

Leo wanted to laugh. Karma is a bitch, after all. But a part of him felt sad for his former friend.

"A few months later I get a call from the police. Some hungry stray dogs tore a garbage bag at the back of some medical clinic for women, and guess what was in the bag? The dismembered body of our dead ex-wife."

Leo would have commented about the "Our" part, but... Martha was dead. And he just found out about it. All the memories with her, both good and bad, were playing in his head as he proceeded to read the letter.

"Turns out she was trying to get an illegal abortion and it went wrong. Really wrong. Both the mother and the fetus were dead. The doctor who was operating her tried to get rid of Martha's body and fled."

Oh. So they don't have a baby. But that doctor, the woman who Martha trusted to help her, she dismembered Martha's body. She tried to hide that it's her fault. That careless bitch.

"I only got the name of the doctor, Leo. It's Lydia. Lydia Jones."

Leo was now curious. That letter was written three days ago, at least according to the date that was written on its back. Why would he write that now?

"I've done some more research about her before I got here. Turns out she also used electroshock therapy on Lisa. Or Emma. I'm still confused about the whole name thing. Your daughter."

Now Leo was pissed. That wretched murderer used electroshock on HIS daughter. On HIS baby angel. He had no idea why, but he knew that electroshock therapy isn't helpful.

"And guess what? She's one of the survivors. Changed her name, but not her profession."

Freddy was planning something. And wanted Leo to be a part of it as well. A plan to avenge Martha.

"Her new name is Emily Dyer. She's still a doctor. She got close to Lisa. I found her diary, and she's trying to 'cure' her again."

Get to the damn plan, Freddy.

"So I need you to help me save her. Save your daughter and avenge Martha, Leo. I know you miss her. I miss her too. I know I can't make up for what I've done to your family, so that's why I want to save Lisa from her. To at least fucking try."

Freddy never cursed in his letters before. Leo realized that he actually means it.

The plan was written after that, and Leo read it carefully.

He never thought he'd have to cooperate with Freddy again, but he has to. For Martha and Lisa.

The plan was surprisingly simple, and Leo only had to do what he does best-

Leo needs to hunt.
