Late night Confessions

A little while later
I brought an extra mattress in my room since Josh was staying over
I placed sheets and blankets over it leaving a pillow on top
Josh closed my door
"El is cute" he pointed out
I chuckled
"Somebody's got a crush" I teased
"Too bad she has a boyfriend"
"Yeah too bad" I said a little too sincerely
"Let's play a game"
"Okay" I smiled
"So we tell each other things we don't know about each other I'll go first"
"I'm famous"
"No way" I mocked "I'd recognize you"
"Well maybe I may have stretched the truth a little...I've been on a commercial" he chuckled
I laughed with him
"Oh uh my turn well I'm kinda short"
"That's not a secret I can see that with my eyes" he laughed
I burst out laughing
"Hmm well I live with my brother, El is practically my sister, and my mom"
"Dad?" He asked
"He isn't around"
He decided not to push it and left it alone
"Hey can I tell you something" he asked
"Yeah sure"
"I trust you so here I go please don't tell anyone I-I don't wanna get hurt"
"I won't I wouldn't do anything I knew you'd be hurt for" he was beginning to scare me
He gave a small smile before looking at the floor
We both sat criss cross applesauce across from each other on our mattresses
"I think I'm bisexual" he said quietly
I shot up looking surprised
"Like I like boys and girls but I know I can't say anything about it because I know I'd get beaten or made fun of or worse"
"If you don't want to be friends anymore I get it" he frowned Anxiety stricken
"Of course I still wanna be friends with you and wanna know a secret?" I asked him
He nodded
"I'm gay" this was only the second time those words have left my mouth but this time I felt proud to say it
He looked shocked
"We May be more alike than we think" he winked at me
I was happy to know that I wasn't alone
