Chapter 8

Ximena Pov:

I could say the weekend was fun. Spent half of the day with my friends on my birthday and we went to my grandparents house on Sunday. Although I felt a little uncomfortable because Zion was there but I'm just gonna have to suck it up since he's best friend with Nick. I got up and did my morning routine and got ready for school. I went downstairs to join my family for breakfast. I sat down and my mom handed me a plate.

"Ximena don't forget that you have to stop by at my work today after school so I can change the oil" I nodded. I don't even know how to do that so thankfully my dad does the whole car stuff for me.

I check the time and told Eli it's time to leave. I said my goodbye and grabbed my stuff and head out to the car. I dropped him off and parked in my usual. I walked in and met up with Catalina.

"So I saw Grace mom pulling her out of school this morning" she tells me and I nodded trying to open my locker

"Good I don't need to see her fake ass around" I opened up my locker and took out my notebooks

"You okay you don't seem like yourself" she asked me

"Yeah I'm just tired that's all" I barely even slept last night to be honest with you.

We were about to walk to class but I stopped and Catalina looked at me weird

"Wanna skip?" I ask her

"You mean like the whole day?" She asked and I nodded "will your mom be mad though" she added

"You know my mama don't care I just can't let me dad find out but I'll text her" I pulled out my phone and unlock so I could text my mom

Mom is it okay if I miss school
for today? Just not feeling
it. I'll make sure
to catch up on my work tomorrow

Well if you catch up on your
work that's fine . Don't let
your dad find out and be
sure to get to his work on
time so he could change
the oil for you

Ximena:
Okay I promise thank you

I put my phone away

"Okay she said yeah so where do you wanna go?" I asked her

"Let's hit up six flags it opened up couple days ago" we started to walk and Nick called us so we waited till he caught up

"Y'all skipping?" He asked

"Yessir why you wanna join?"

"Uhh" he looked around "why not I don't wanna be here" we walked out of the school building and I got in my car with Catalina and Nick went in his. We were about to drive off and with just my luck the rest of the guys decided to join. I facepalm myself and looked over at Nick and he shrugged and mouthed sorry. Honestly should of seen it a lot sooner.

It took us about an hour to get there. We paid for our parking ticket and got out of the car. I noticed that Austin wasn't with them so I asked

"Hey where's Austin?"

"Uhh he had to take a biology test right now but he said he'll be here after and his bringing his gf along" I nodded. We all walked up to the ticket booth so we could pay for our entry. We passed by security and they took a picture of all of us at the front. We walked around for a bit to see which one we should get on first. We got on a couple ride and I told them I was gonna go use the bathroom. I bumped into some guy and drop my phone.

"Oh I'm so sorry I wasn't paying attention where I was going" I pick up my phone that I drop

"Don't worry about it" he smiled at me and I return the favor. "I'm Noah by the way"

"I'm Ximena"

"That's a cute name so are you here with some friends?" He asked

"Yeah I was gonna use the bathroom actually until I bump into you" I laugh a little "do you work here?"

"Yeah i actually do I was just on my break"

I nodded "oh well umm see you around I guess" I was about to walk off

"Is it cool if I got your number though?" He asked i smiled and put my number on his phone "well Ximena it was nice to meet you but I should get back to work"

"Bye" I few moments later I got out and I found Zion pissed asf sitting at a table. He saw me and walked up to me

"Who was that guy?" He said frustrated

"None of your concern now if you'll excuse me I'm go find the others" I walk away from him. I heard him mumble something but I didn't care what he had to say. The rest of the day we had our fun until it was time for us to leave. I dropped Catalina off and went to my dads work. I pulled up and got out.

"There she goes i thought you forgot" he grabbed what he needed

"Yeah Sorry i dropped Catalina off" I sat down

"How was school?"

"It was okay I guess" he nodded and I let him do what he needed to. He finished and told me to go home and to let my mom know that he'll be out soon. When I got home I helped my mom made dinner. I was in the living room and heard my phone going off. I check to see and it was a random number

It was alright how was yours?

Noah:
Exhausting

Ximena:
Sorry to hear about that but
is it okay if I text you after
dinner? My parents have a rule
that we can't have our phone
while we eat lol

Noah:
Oh yeah of course that should give me a chance to take a shower and everything

Ximena:
Well then talk to you later bye
