p e r s o n .Taehyung repeated Jennie's words in his mind for the nth time of the day--"That's not true. You've always liked Lisa, not me."
He didn't dare to mutter a single word after that. He was fazed, slight taken aback. He couldn't tell her that she wrong. However, she wasn't right either.
It's all on him this time. It's his fault. His mind is being cluttered by a lot of things, that he didn't to think that through. Luckily, Jennie changed the topic after that.
It's been a week since that incident happened, and he still tried to voicemail and call Jennie, but still, he tried to no avail. He was still persistent, though, trying to contact her everyday.
Somehow, this effort of him reminded him of Lisa - Lisa has also been making an effort to contact Jungkook for two whole months, but he never dared to contact her back.
Taehyung and the rest of BTS knew why - Jungkook asked YG to date Lisa, and he only has one condition: that he should avoid her just until their Japan debut, then YG will allow him to date Lisa freely, and he'd even support and help them, too.
It was a very difficulty task considering that YG even informed about his staff about the deal, but not Lisa, nor any of the BLACKPINK members. And if a single YG staff sees them together, they'll immediately report it to YG.
That's the only condition, and they're free.
Now, Taehyung has been contemplating on doing the same with Jennie. However, could he take it to avoid her? No. Never.
Taehyung just realised his profound feelings for the female only recently, just when he was trying to weight out what he felt for Lisa and what he felt for Jennie.
Don't get him wrong, he genuinely likes Lisa. He even likes her to the point that he wants to date her. However, Jennie has been boggling his mind a little too often, topping off what he felt for Lisa.
Until, it finally hit him - he does like Jennie, doesn't he? Maybe he was just too blinded for what he felt for Lisa, that he never noticed his growing feelings for Jennie.
Jungkook's currently admitted to the hospital. He overworked himself too much and ended up exhausting his body to the point whereon he collapsed, resulting ton a ton of cancelled concerts.
Now, Taehyung set off to buy him some fruits because of his unusual cravings.
Bringing the bag of fruits, he decided to take his phone out from his pocket, quickly finding Jennie's caller ID. He then cleared his throat before sending her a voicemail, "Jennie-ssi, how have you been? I'm here bringing a ton of fruits right now as per Kookie's request. Anyway, I was at the mall earlier and couldn't help but remember you," Taehyung snickered at what he was going to say next. "I saw a dumpling earlier, and I remembered your cute little cheeks."
Taehyung then looked around, staring up to the sky to see the beautiful weather. It was night time, yes, but he admired how the sky imposed the feeling of serenity, a brusque bustle of wind passing by his visage.
"I'm near Han River, and the weather's nice, it's a good time to hang out if you're interested," Taehyung lowly sighed.
He then stopped the voicemail, his eyes squinting at a familiar figure sitting on the bench. He couldn't be mistaken, he was certain that it was her. And, she seemed like she was crying.
Taehyung pursed his lips, tucking his phone back in his pocket as he calmly made his way to the female.
He licked his lips before he muttered her name, "Lisa?"
She stopped, her her thumping rapidly. She knew that voice. Not a second wasted, she turned her head, a small smile forming at the edge of her lips. She stood up, jumping towards him and hugged him.
She needed comfort.
Taehyung dropped the fruits he was bringing, startled. He didn't hesitate to hug her back. She stroked her hair, calming her. "I'm here," he told her.
There was certainly something wrong, and Taehyung thought of calling Jungkook - oh, but the deal.
How about Jennie? Nah, she wasn't noticing him.
Jisoo? Yeah, Jisoo would be--
"You're here," she told Taehyung, closing her eyes as her tears continued to flow.
Taehyung and Lisa sat down on the bench, and he let the blonde cry on his shoulder. He didn't ask any questions, and just waited for her to say something instead. "How did you know I was here?" Lisa asked.
"I bought some fruits for someone, then I saw you here." He told her.
As Lisa was slowly recomposing herself, Taehyung inanimately rubbed the back of his nape, exhaling a low breath. Should he tell her now? He wasn't really sure, but he felt like she needed to know soon.
"I . . . actually have something to tell you, Lisa. I don't know if this is the right time, but I think you need to know." He gulped, grabbing onto her shoulders, and her doe eyes gravitated upon him, bewildered.
To say that Lisa had zero effect on him anymore was a lie. She still had at least a minuscule effect on him, and it was appearing right now. However, he held it in and refrained himself by clearing his throat.
"These past few months, I've been contemplating about these feelings of mine. Lisa . . . I think I like--"
Taehyung was stunned, not expecting he turn of events. One moment, she already found her lips against his. She leaned in and kissed him.
Gulping, he quickly pulled away, his eyes widening at Lisa's sudden action. "L-Lisa what was that?" He couldn't believe what just happened.
Lisa's eyes softened, her eyes started to become watery. Taehyung didn't know what to do, he didn't want her to think that she offended or disgusted him.
"Don't you like me anymore, oppa?" Lisa asked, sounding a bit desperate.
Taehyung felt weak, not wanting to see her in that state. He couldn't properly think, but the events just made him unknowingly shift. This is far from what he expected to happen. Why? He was supposed to visit Jennie tomorrow, bringing her a bouquet of her favourite tulips to confess.
He was certain just a few minutes ago, but Lisa just shifted his perspective. Damn his indecisive self when it comes to romantically-entailed situations.
What can he do? The first lady he genuinely liked just kissed him, and was asking if he still likes her.
"Lisa . . . y-you like Jungkook," Taehyung blurted out, afraid that he was going to be a somewhat rebound.
To this, Lisa just smirked. "I do," she admits. "But where is he?" She turned her head towards Taehyung. "How can I continue to stay with a person who continually ignores me, to the point where I feel like I'm being overly desperate and needy for his attention?" Lisa bit her bottom lip, sniffing.
Taehyung was speechless, sighing instead as he looked at his shoes.
"But you . . ." Lisa wiped her tears, giving Taehyung a soft smile. "You've always been there for me," Lisa began to sincerely smile at him. "Please . . . I don't want to feel like rubbish again."
With a puzzled mind, Taehyung sympathised her, slowly pulling her into an embrace. He felt like he didn't have a choice. And again, he wasn't so good with romantically-entailed decisions. It's all too new for him.
He just hopes that he doesn't regret picking Lisa.
