Oh how they split your heart in two
When they say that they no longer want you
Stand there not knowing what to say
As you realise you lost them as they walk away
You tell yourself don't worry and I'll be fine
But one look at yourself and you know you're lyin'
Just stay persistent and they'll be back, right?
You tell yourself you won't give up without a fight
But they've moved on and so should you
Why did this happen so out of the blue
Friends say there's plenty of fish in the sea
But you sit there thinking what's wrong with me
Some stuff their face with ice cream
Other's wish for it to be a bad dream
They all try to escape the heartache
They'll put on a smile but it's all fake
You try to put your heart back together
How could you think this would last forever
Some grieve for days, others grieve for weeks
Never really knowing when all the pain peaks
You meet someone else and decide to start a new
But how long until this one splits your heart in two...
