"Baby you sure you okay?" Maya, one of my newest freaks asked as she pulled her skirt down and I pulled up my sweatpants

"Yeah I'm good. Why?"

"I'm just asking. You been acting different all day and you just acted like you wasn't into it just now"

I just shook my head and grabbed my bookbag, walking out of the locker room and Maya followed behind me. The bell just had rung so the gym was clearing out from the class that was in here making our exit not really noticeable. She tried to keep up with my but I was walking too fast for her

As I walked into the building I pushed through the people to get down the hall until I felt somebody slap my shoulder

"Where you been nigga?" Carlos asked while he threw his arm across my shoulder while I kept walking

"Minding my business. Why?"

"You coming with us tonight?"

"To where?"

"We gone find some shit to get into. Me and Junior and probably Tremaine but you know how that nigga been lately"

"Ion fuck with that nigga"

"Mannnn y'all been beefin for months now. It's time to let that shit go"

"Fuck that" I muttered as Akira walked past with Egypt. Egypt looked at me for a split second before looking the other way.

Everytime I see Egypt the first thing I pay attention to is that big ass belly in front of her. She stopped coming to the house and I keep my distance so it's rare I look at her. As long as she don't come at me about that damn baby it really ain no reason for us to be in any kinda communication anyways

I looked over at Carlos and saw him looking back at my sister

"Keep yo damn eyes to yo self"

"Whatchu mean?"

"I see you lookin at my sister"

"She don't even fuck witchu like that"

"So. That's still my damn sister nigga. Don't make me fuck you up"

Carlos laughed "chill out.. it ain my fault she be hittin my line"

"What the fuck about? You ain got shit to talk to my baby sister about"

"We was just conversating. I ain gone lie, I was gone link with her this weekend but she talkin bout she gone be busy helping with ol girl baby shower"

"Baby shower?"

"Yeah. Tremaine and his babymomma having a baby shower. He was talkin about it the other day but of course you wouldn't know. Y'all don't fuck with each other"

I shrugged, looking back at Egypt and Akira walking into a classroom "well shit. That's them"

"For your final papers you will be writing a 5 page essay..." the teacher started to talk but I quickly zoned her out realizing she was giving out a syllabus as well so I could look at it later. For some reason I couldn't focus at all. I wasn't feeling good, I was still tired from work last night and I knew I had a whole lot of homework to do when I got home. I rubbed the bottom of my stomach being that it was itching.

"Why you wanna give us a 5 page paper at the end of the year. We focused on graduation right now" One of the boys in the class bluntly said out loud but unlike everybody else I didn't laugh cause while they were preparing for graduation, I was still a whole junior
