Chapter 28 - Kingdom of Azalea

A group of Azalean officers then boarded the Reliance. They were given a quick tour on the way to the bridge to meet the Rear Admiral.

The Azalean officers marvelled the interior of the Cardonian frigate, they were noted saying that the level of sophistication albeit it's hard for them to admit, by far it has exceeded their current ships of the line.

They were then lead towards the bridge wherein the Rear Admiral, the ship Captain and the head of the diplomatic envoy, Mr. Ronhald Senta awaited them.

After a debrief on the situation on the Western continent, the Azaleans reported back to their ship, then relayed the information to the mainland.

For an hour, they've waited anxiously.

Then a small group of Azaleans once again disembarked from their airship. This time around their Captain joined the boarding party.

"Greetings everyone I'm Captain Zandre Erdal of the Svernard, Azalean Royal Navy."

"I'm Rear Admiral Jhosep Brandinco, Royal Cardonian Navy. I'm the highest ranking officer of the whole flotilla."

"Your ship is a wonder, Admiral. A lot of our officials would be jealous once you dock at our capital. And our two 'wonderful' neighbours would surely take notice."

"Thanks for the praise Captain, your ship is as wonderful as ours. We've never seen such a fast and heavily airship on our lifetime." the Rear Admiral replied.

"But seeing your ship upclose, I guess the rumors are pure rumors it seems. Looks like your previous world is very peaceful as your main ship of the line only needs a single cannon."

"I wouldn't really exactly call it as a peaceful world, nevertheless this ship is powerful as it seems Captain. Though it would be good to know the rumors about us."

"I see, I see. There are rumors with the merchantmen about a western country that suddenly reappeared. And quickly decimated the Imperial landing forces with a handful of their own ships."

"Such rumors travel very far and very quick. But to be clear, our actions are justifiable to preserve peace and stability on our 'new world'."

"So the rumors are true then? I see. But nevertheless, the High Command has given you permission to enter our waters. We would be then in charge in escorting you towards our Capital. I will also leave some of my crew to guide you, our waters are tricky to sail at, you see."

After exchanging a few more messages. The Captain departed for his ship and as he promised, five of his crew stayed behind on the Reliance to provide much needed information to safely navigate the Azalean waters.

The flotilla then steamed towards the Azalean Capital without any issues.

"Cardonian Fleet sighted! We have visual on the fleet!"

"Svernard are sailing parallel of them!"

"They are cleared for entry, magic communicators and signal lights!"

"Those iron ships are quite large and gracefully designed." the fortress Commander said as he observes the ships through his binoculars.

"But sir, aren't they woefully lightly armed for their size though?" one of his officer asked.

"This country possesses ships that can dispatch a fleet of Imperial ship, they might be outdated compared to ours but they are powerful." the Commander replied.
