Chapter 53 - Retaking the Capital

The large allied forces composed of combined armies of the Cardonia, Giniana and Archesia have linked up with the other large force, this is the Royalties along with members of the 601st Paratrooper Regiment. They are hours from the Capital City of Jesena, they would reach the gates just before sundown.

The Cardonian naval task force is currently blockading the surrounding waters off the the Capital City of Jesena. This has prevented the retreat of the remaining Imperial ships docked at the large port.

Even the city south of the Capital were quickly vacated, as such the small landing force liberated the city without firing a single shot.

The last remaining bastion of Imperial forces are camped out on the large demi-human capital. The Capital could be compared to that of an Earth Medieval city, from it's large walls and architecture.

Due to an earlier airstrike, the Cardonians destroyed the large magic communication facility located deep inside the City. They are literally cut off from the rest of the world.

The 10,000 strong Imperial troops were gathered all across the country, they immediately retreated towards the Capital when the Battle of Gralve was lost.

COMBINED ARMY
10 KM FROM THE CITY WALLS

The large force of 25,000 men marched through the open fields of the Ginianian countryside. Villagers delightfully welcome the large combined force. Sticking out from the large army of rudimentary soldiers are the Cardonian troops.

The grounds shook as these large Main Battle Tanks make their way on the solid ground. There roaring engines made some of the Ginian troops to fear their newfound ally.

The quiet and peaceful march was suddenly broken when Cardonian troops began to sing a hymn. A number of soldiers are sitting atop their armored vehicles.

They whistled different songs and suddenly as if coordinated, they sang in unison.

"MAKE WAY!"

"MAKE WAY FOR THE CARDONIAN CAVALRY!"

"Saving the day like it's 1823!"

"Kicked the French now you're next!"

"Make way!"

"Make way for the Cardonian Cavalry!"

"HEYO! HEYO!"

"MAKE WAY!"

"MAKE WAY!"

The Archesians and Ginians were astonished at first. The hymn spread throughout the whole army, many of the Allied forces joined the Cardonians, whistling the marching hymn.

CARDONIAN NAVAL TASK FORCE

Marines are busy preparing their landing vehicles and crafts. A large naval operation would be launch as soon as the sun sets.

Almost every RHIB's of the fleet are being prepared by the Naval Operators, these are elite Naval Commando Regiment. Specialized in boarding any ships, they are primarily tasked to perform VBSS or Visit, Board, Search and Seizure for the Navy. Today they are tasked to capture the Imperial ships trapped at the port of Jesena.

The port itself would be attacked by the Marines in their amphibious vehicles and landing crafts.

OUTSIDE THE CITY WALLS

As the sun sets the large Allied army camped just outside the city walls, distant enough that Imperial artillery are out of range. The large gates were shut closed when the three flags of the Allied countries were spotted flying on the horizon.
