Daniel touches a flat stone as large as his small palm. He found it at Riverside earlier. A black stone with shiny sparkles all over it.
The devil said it would work.
All he needs is a gullible fool. Someone who would take the stone from him.
I spend three hours praying that this stone would take all my misfortunes away.
Daniel smiles widely to his victim. It's his childhood friend, a fat little girl from the village. Everyone bullies her for being a chubby orphan. She is two years older than him.
Her face reddened because she has been running to meet him here at Riverside.
