Thirteen knocks on the door.

A pale faced servant opens it.

He quickly says, "No alms for you."

"I'm a friend of Daniel Lawless."

The servant stares to their shabby clothes.

He declines, "Milord isn't at home."

"You dirty little liar. I saw him entered this house half an hour ago."

"He isn't at home."

Thirteen dodges him and he enters the house.

"Hey, Daniel! Daniel! I know you are in here! Hey!"

The servant catches him and pushes him out of the house.

"Jules! Let's go!"

This time they both push the servant and manages to enter the house. They run to different directions.

The servant yells and few servants show up to catch them.

Jules runs toward a room to avoid the servants.

Two teenager boys are eating breakfast in the small dining room.

"I'm sorry, Milord. We have tried to stop them," apologizes a servant.

He grabs Jules' arm and tries to drag her away from that spot.

Jules calls, "Daniel! It's me! Don't you recognize me?"

"I never see you in my life," replies the younger boy.

He looks taller than 13 years old boy.

Daniel's friend, an older boys asks, "Shall we ask why he is here first?"

"No need. Must be a beggar asking for alms, Ian," replies Daniel.

"You gave me a stone as your farewell gift. I still kept it..."

Daniel's spoon stops from entering his mouth. He puts down it to his plate.

He asks, "What stone?

Jules struggles and she manages to release her arm from the servant. She takes out a flat stone from her breast pocket.

Daniel stares the stone with frightened eyes as if it's a cursed item.

He says coldly, "I shall give you money. And you shall leave my house."

Thirteen finally manages to evade the servants. Hard for his short legs to run faster than them.

The midget has entered the dining room. He overhears Daniel's statement.

He says, "All I ask is to give Jules a roof and some food, Daniel, my boy."

Daniel stares him with disgust.

He says, "That isn't our deal, devil."

"Something came up. Jules couldn't be with me anymore."

Jules stares the midget. She looks sad.

Ian asks, "Who are they?"

Thirteen answers before Daniel could say anything, "Jules Knight is Daniel's distant cousin. He recently lost his parents. Daniel is his last relative. He refused to help us."

"Nonsense!" yells Daniel.

Ian says, "Well, you have to assist him, Daniel. He is still your family."

"I haven't met her, I mean him for years!"

"Still people would gossip about this..."

"I don't care, Ian!"
