Chapter 6

"Look kaki! It's raining" the smaller brunette spoke enthusiastically while catching the raindrops. The skies above were indeed dark as Camila felt the falls on her forehead

"It is, Sofi. now let's go before we get soak" she spoke, agitated. Reaching from her back to put the big coat around her sister instead as she began to drag her on the nearest shelter she had seen

Today... after they sang, she played with her sister as what she had promised. She's the type of a girl who won't promise at you if she's not sure she can do it. Camila would always do what she had promise because she knew how it feels to get betrayed

"Nahh... kaki, haven't you heard the quote 'some people enjoy the rain but some just get wet'?" Sofia looked up to her sister with her questioning brown eyes

"No. Where did you hear that?" Asked Camila, looking down to her sister as well

"Oh, I learned it from Ms. Hansen, she mentioned it once while we're singing rain rain go away and itsy bitsy spider" as she finished her speech, the drizzle that were falling earlier was now having its bigger drops

"C'mon Sofi, let's just go" Camila chided, putting her hand on Sofia's head as she dragged her by her shoulders

"No kaki. Let's enjoy it!" The younger one insisted, dragging her sister to the place where they're exposed from the sky

"Sofi, our clothes will be wet and it's uncomfortable to wear when it's not dry, remember?"

The kid whined "But kaki, think of that later on. Let's have fun! Let the rain wash away the pain you always feel everyday" Camila stared down at her sister processing the words she just said and then smile as she crouched down to ruffle her hair. She must've adapt those deep words from her

"You're really a smart kid aren't you?" Asked Camila, brushing her nose to the younger one's. She's indeed smarter for a five year old kid

"I am?" The younger one repeated. Camila watched the 'what seems like' shine in Sofia's brown eyes and smiled

"You are" Camila confirmed. The younger didn't reply anymore and jump as the rain gets even heavier

"Yeey!!" Cheered Sofi as she run around Camila

"Kaki come! It's fun" said the younger brunette as she drag Camila's hand running together with her while her other hand's hanging so she can catch the rain

"Lift me so I can touch the clouds" Sofia said raising up her hands that earned a smile from Camila as she do what's said

"Ackk! So heavy" she faked a groan laughing when her sister hit her shoulders playfully

"I'm not" Sofia denied as she lifted up her hands. Camila laughed, watching as her sister reached out for the skies above. It is now becoming clear to her that rain is not as doleful as what it seemed to be. Perhaps you just need someone under it. Enjoy... relax or unwind just like how umbrella does when you finally opened it because you don't want to get wet. With a blissful smile on her face, she was certain at that time that she may not be touching the clouds right now... but she's sure with her sister laughing with her, she feels real and happy enough.

However on the other place, Lauren is cursing herself for not bringing her umbrella with her as her hands digged even more deeper to the pocket of her coat

Lauren hates rain.

And she hates it even more considering that L.A's rain is so cold (well for her it is)

Lauren groaned, clenching her jaws together with her hands that were all warmed up inside her pocket when the rain just got even more heavier

She doesn't even know why strolling around the streets came into her mind. Because earlier, she can't just do anything right. She can't focus! And yet the first thing that comes to her mind was going outside for a walk even though she have a car. Lauren wish she didn't decide immediately at the reminder of how a real mess her room is right now. She didn't even think twice when she can feel her shoe stepping on one crumpled paper from her floor earlier
