"Today we will be turning owls into opera glasses." Professor Mcgonagall pointed her wand at the owl perched on a stack of books beside her and said, "Strigiforma!" The owl's white feathers seemed to melt into the shape of a pair of glasses. It let out one frightened squawk before turning into completely stationary glasses. "Now it's your turn."

Sophie smiled and turned to her own owl. She had particularly liked transfiguration, ever since the class where she had dyed her hair. Rose had turned her hair back, saying it annoyed her when she slept, but Sophie herself had kept the streaks of color in her hair. She rather liked it, and it made her stand out more. She couldn't believe she used to be that 12 year old with bitten nails and black clothes- trying desperately to fit in. She now knew that there was about as much chance of her being normal as Keefe getting a haircut.

"Strigiforma!" Sophie glanced at Rose. Rose's tawny owl had turned into rather handsome glasses. She looked at hers. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best either. Fitz was trying to subdue his owl; it seemed to foretell it's fate and was trying to escape. She giggled.

"Well done, Miss Foster! 10 points for gryffindor- here you are Mr. Vacker- immobulus!" The owl froze, it's yellow eyes fearful as it eyed Fitz's wand. "Thanks, professor." Professor Mcgonagall moved on to the slytherins, where Albus had managed to multiply his owl into a three giant panda bears, which had crushed his desk- along with Scorpio's, much to his delight. Rose giggled.

After class, they joined up with the usual group and headed off to the girl's bathrooms. "Are you sure about this?" Scorpio said, looking around in absmayal. "What if we're seen?" Rose rolled her eyes." Nobody goes in here," She said. "It's moaning Myrtle's bathroom, remember?" "Oh."

Sophie stepped inside the bathroom. A pearly white girl rose from the toilets. "Oh, it's you," She said loftily. "Why is everyone always bothering me? Just yesterday, students throwing things at my head-" "But you can't feel it, can you?" Keefe said slowly. "You're dead." Myrtle gave him a disgusted moan. With a sharp jerk, she floated over to him and punched him in the head. Keefe's eyes widened- it probably felt like being dipped in ice water. With a drawn out moan, Myrtle dove into her toilet, leaving a splash of water in her wake.

"Disgusting," Biana shuddered as she walked to one of the last cubicles. Rose nodded, and lifted her wand. "Alohomora," she said. The lock opened to reveal a cauldron bubbling on top of the toilet seat. Keefe laid some crystal on the floor. "I chipped it off Candleshade's walls," He explained. She snorted. She could only imagine lord Cassius' face if he found out. If.

Rose pointed her wand to the potion. "I'm only at step two," She explained. It did indeed look like he book's description. "The egg's almost ready," Sophie said. "Give it a day or two," She added. Rose gave a sigh of relief. "Okay, that should be enough." They all stared at the toilet. "We should get out," Albus said, indicating the boys. "We'll be back." Scorpio nodded. "We have quidditch practice anyway." Linh nodded vigorously. "Next game's tomorrow- Gryffindor against Ravenclaw!" Sophie's heart sank. Great.
