Jaida was twenty almost twenty one when she was raped and she hasn't been the same since. Since it has happened, she has tried to forget and wanted to move on but that definitely wasn't working for her. She was so tired of fighting her never silent...
"So did he text you?" Janiya said to Jaida as she walked in the kitchen. Jaida rolled her eyes and walked to the fridge opening the door. She has been asking this question every morning since that night at the club.
"You and your nosey self need to stop trying to nosey your way into my business" Jaida said looking at her best friend. Janiya's eyes widened and her shocked face almost made Jaida laugh.
"Well sorry for being excited that you have a fine ass man that has a crush on you which is also the first man who you have talked to, besides your friends, and that you smiled and laughed with since before Hayley" Janiya said before getting off the bar stool she was sitting on. She put her bowl in the sink before leaving the kitchen going to her room.
It was just a joke Jaida thought as she sighed sitting down on the bar stool Niya just got up from. She looked down at her phone to see a text from Ezra that came in last night after she got back from the grocery store

Jaida didn't know how to answer it to be honest but she could not stop her fingers from opening the text and moving to text him back. She kept it nice and sweet.

Jaida bit her lip as she waited for a response. She looked at the clock and tapped her nails on the counter top as she waited.
What if he never replies She thought as she stared at the screen.
"Stop it Jaida" She mumbled to herself before getting up and leaving her phone on the counter. She decided she would just go take a shower and worry about the text later. She walked to her room and went to the bathroom. She turned the shower water on and took her clothes off before getting in.

A knock sounded on Ezra's front door. He looked up from his seat on his couch and got up. He walked to his door opening it to see Jaida standing there with a nervous look on her face.
A hour ago Ezra agreed to hang out at his house with her. He just got back home from the gym thirty minutes ago. He was wearing a black and white striped t shirt and black jeans. His hair was still wet from the shower he took ten minutes ago.
"Oh so you now you copying me" Ezra said making Jaida laugh and shake her head. He stepped aside to let her walk in.
"I was dressed two hours ago so I think it's you that's copying me" She said with a small smile. Ezra chuckles but shrugs.

"I guess you have a point" he says looking at her.
"Nice place" She commented as she looked around his condo. Ezra closed the door and looked at her.
"Thank you yeah I got it about two years ago" He said. Jaida smiled and sat on his couch.
"So what's up" she said as she put her hair in a messy ponytail.
"I'm just curious about you Jaida. You don't seem like the type of girl to just do therapy and go to see my sister" He said getting straight to the point as he walks to his kitchen. Jaida sighed and cleared her throat softly as she looks away. He grabs a bottle of water and walks back over to Jaida.
"You are a very blunt and straight to the point kinda of guy" She mumbled as he hands her a bottle of water. Ezra shrugs with a small smirk on his face.
"I don't know, I just want to know about who Jaida is" He says sitting down next to her.
"Well Jaida is a crazy yet kinda shy girl who is in college with her best friend and sister. She is very fun when she is drunk yet very loud. And she is very chill yet a laid back type of person" Jaida mumbles to him before taking a sip of her water. Ezra smiles and sits up some as he looked down at his coffee table.
"Well for some reason you interest me without me even knowing you. And I want to see if I can" Ezra pauses as he looks Jaida in her eye taking in her beauty. She blushes and looks away feeling a little bit shy to just have him staring at her.
"I want to see if I can figure out why a beautiful woman like yourself is hurting inside" He whispers to her as he holds her chin and turns her head to face him. Jaida's mouth opens but she doesn't say anything as she thinks about why a man like him is even talking to her.
"You are very fast" She mumbles as she looks down before looking back into his eyes. Ezra chuckles but shrugs once again.
"I think the word you are looking for is straight to the point" he says before letting go of her chin. He leans back and looks her over some.
"Well Mr.Straight to the Point, I'm not looking for a relationship right now and I barely know you" Jaida lies as she stands up. Ezra stands up with her and stands in front of her looking down at her.
"I'm not saying I want a relationship Jaida. I just want to be friends just that" He says making her nod.
"Well can we go get some ice cream as friends then" She says as she looks up at him. Ezra smiles and nods.
"Depends what's your favorite favor?" He said as he steps back going to grab his keys. Jaida smiles and shrugs.
"Well nothing beats mint chocolate chip and butter pecan" She says making Ezra laugh.
"Well I think that mint chocolate chip beats butter pecan any day" He said making her laugh and shake her head.
"Slow your role mister they are both great" She says as she opens the front door.
"Yeah okay" he says as he leaves behind her. Licking up the front door, he walks with her to the elevator. Ezra pressed the ground level while he looks at her.
