Chapter 17 ~ Love Birds?

(Michael's POV)

*2 months later*

Everything is in place now. Katy is perfectly alright. Her scars had filled too. Also, Chris and Katy have became closer than ever. Things are also fine now with me and Annie. But, still. There is someone who is not right. My partner. Ugh! Lord! "Hi Mikey!" Madonna calls out. "My name is Michael, okay?" I say annoyingly. "But Mikey is cute, don't you think?" She defends herself. "Nope." I say simply.

Here, I am handling this 'Miss Oversmart' and Annie and Chris are sitting there laughing their heads off. "Don't worry, we'll be laughing like them, really soon." Katy whispers behind me. I simply nod. Just then, Miss Laura enters the class. Woah. Is it just me or Miss Laura is actually looking really happy? "Good Morning, Ma'am!" the whole class says in unison. Except Madonna, she's so busy in eating her chewing gum. Argh.

"Good Morning, class. Please sit down!" Miss Laura says smilingly. I wonder why is she so happy. "So, children. There's something I'd like to share with you," she says still smiling. "I recently got engaged to the love of my life." She says pointing to her ring. Oh, I see. That's why. The whole class starts clapping, and Miss Laura instead of telling them 'Don't make noise' simply blushes. That's really a nice news.

(Annie's POV)

What?! Miss Laura got engaged? This is so cool. No wonder why she was so happy. Time passes and in Miss Laura's whole period what we study is: 'How I met the love of my life' yeah, yeah. Whatever. Then we go through History and Physics. Finally break! Yes! At least, 20 mimutes off my stupid, yet handsome partner. Suddenly there's an announcement.

"Children, please pay attention. Due to some private school business, we have closed the canteen for 5 days. Which means that, today you'll have lunch in the class. I repeat you'll have lunch in the class. Thank you."

Wait. What? Lunch in the class?! No way! "Oh, lovely. Now you don't have to miss me, princess. We'll have lunch together, what say?" He asks in his gentleman way. Yes!! No! What am I even thinking? I can't have lunch with him. No freakin' way! I look out for Chris but he's no where. Oh lord, what am I gonna do now? Michael and Katy are gonna laugh at me like crazy. "Princess?" He puts a hand on my shoulder and snaps me out of my thoughts. "Um.. okay." Wait! What did I just say?!!

"Excellent!" Justin answers back. "So, what have you got for lunch?"

"Nothing." I mumble.

"Oh, poor thing. Here have some from mine. Let me help you with this." He offers.

"No, thanks." I say.

"No, please. I'll be glad, if you did." He says. This day couldn't get any worse.

(Michael's POV)

Me and Katy are uncontrolably laughing at Annie. Like hell! What a great view this is. Am I jealous? No, because I know Annie is not into him at all. We are laughing like kids. Little kids. "Told you, this would happen!" Katy laughs. "You were right!" I say controlling my laughter which is probably impossible right now. "Come, let's here them closely!" Katy offers. "Good idea!" I reply.

"Let me help you eat it." Justin says to Annie while adding fruitcake in her mouth. The look on her face is priceless. "Do you want me to do that again?" He blushes. "No!" She almost yells, Justin gets shocked. "I mean, I'll have it myself." She fakes a smile. "Oh, okay." He smiles. "Aww look at you, lovebirds!" Miss Laura exclaims. Love birds? Annie nearly chokes up her fruit cake. "W-what?" She asks out of breath. "Don't worry, sweetie. I won't tell anyone." Miss Laura assures her. Out of nowhere, I crack up and start laughing. Everyone in the room starts looking at me. Great.
