"There's also the fact that this big man here is the Alpha to all those people you see out there."

"Oh yeah figured, Barbie told me that." My voice faded out at the end.

"What was that?"

"Nothing." I gave a very fake sweet smile.

Moments later, everything just hit me like a train and I ended up sitting there muttering incoherent words to myself, while all pairs of eyes in the room stared at me. I ignored it and tried to concentrate solely on the fact that my mate was:

One, a lycan.

Two, an alpha.

Three, crowned prince.

Four, royalty itself.

Meaning... I would become queen when the coronation was completed. Why didn't papa tell me people of that status even existed. I always thought Alphas were the cherry on top.

I guess they were just the icing on the cake.

"Do I have to like bow all the time now?" I whined.

They all laughed, "If you think about it, it's those who will be bowing to you."

I guess we won't be living the normal life we wanted.

Indeed.

Already having trouble understanding the whole concept of going through with the mating ceremony, I now have this issue to add to my very long list of miserable ordeals.

If I'm going to do this. I'm going to do this well. Calm and collected. Yes.

I took a deep breath, "Okay."

"Okay? Is that it?"

"Why do you say that?"

"We were expecting you to go psycho on us".

"Pffft," That was definitely what I was going to do, "I'm no child."

They looked unconvinced but I shrugged them off. I leaned back onto the sofa with a sigh.

"This is all going too fast." I murmured. But I did have one question,

"Why are you an alpha then?"

"Oh, that's just a cover up. No one knows the identity of the children born of the current monarch. So we had to lay low."

I nodded, "I see." They couldn't be a normal pack member based off their dominance, strength levels and aura. They wouldn't be fit to be standard pack members. Anyone could tell they held a inordinate amount of power just by looking at them. "Children? You have siblings?"

"Yeah. Two brothers and one sister."

"So how does this properly work? Are you all lycans or is it just Leo?"

Dana, Lynn and Luca smirked, "Leo?"

"Shut up and answer my question before I batter your asses to Antarctica."

"We're all lycans." Alex said.

"He speaks."

He ignored me and carried on, "Genovese here is a pure-blood if that's what you want to call it, born lycan. Me and Luca were initiated by the Royal Family personally and Dana and Lynn naturally turned into Lycans, with permission from the King and Queen, prior to mating with us." I nodded my head, engulfing all the information that had just been spoken of. Considering the circumstances, I'm assuming that would mean my shift would be similar to Dana and Lynn's.

It seems as though I would have to be on the good side of mommy and daddy Leo.

"What happens if the King and Queen reject the transformation?"

"What else? A slow, tormenting death." That confirmed it, no childish antics with mommy and daddy Leo, definitely on my to-do list.

Best behaviour Artemis.

I should be telling you that.

"We'll give it around a week, maybe more, then we head back to the palace." Leo said. Now that I had thought about it, with him being a prince and all, meant I didn't need to worry about Barbie–

"This pack will also be staying on our grounds, without an Alpha they are basically lost puppies."

"Are you fucking shitting me right now?" I said quietly to myself.

For someone with a wolf, I was doing most of the thought process by myself.

Whatever.

I laid on our bed deep in thought. My life wouldn't be the same after this. I wish papa would tell me what to do. He always knew what to say and when to say it.

I rolled onto my side. Papa said not to cry when things get tough, that meant they were winning and you were losing.

And I hated losing.

I hadn't cried since papa died and I didn't plan to in the future.

Finally knowing what he meant after he passed away when he said that tears symbolised weakness. It was a waste. They were just droplets of water that slid down your cheeks out of remorse or guilt.

I had never seen papa cry; I'm glad I didn't. The only goal I had at that age was to make him happy or even feel the smallest amount of pride in me but I was too naive as a child to think everything had a happy ever after.

Death caught up on him and everything just snapped like a twig.

Even if he was wrong about anything he shared with me, it was enough just knowing it would've made him happy. That's all I wanted. Was it too much to ask for? I couldn't imagine what it would've felt like to raise a child alone, without their partner.

Surprisingly, papa always looked composed and unbothered.

We were the only person in each other's lives. It was like that until he left me. And then there was just me.

But now I had everyone, even Alex. I hung onto that hope, false or not, because that was one of the only things pushing me to go further.

If I was to proceed with this, I needed to do it right. Impossible to escape what fate the Moon Goddess had planned for me, the only way left was to learn it the hard way.

"Bella." The sweet voice filled my ears. I opened my eyes and saw Leo leaning on the door frame, his arms crossed over his chest, making his muscles more defined and bulked.

He walked over to me and lied down beside me. We both faced upwards.

"We'll get through this together, alright?"

"Pinky promise?" I held up my pinky finger in the air waiting for it to be returned.

He chuckled, "Pinky promise." He kissed my cheek, our fingers still intertwined and said, "Rest. Today must have been overwhelming. I will wake you when you are needed okay?"

"Okay." My voice fading out. I felt a kiss on the back of my hand and I was out like a light.

I actually posted on time people. That's impressive because this lazy ass never does.

Question time!

What do you think of Leo and Cam?

How about Cam's father?
