The thick book with its gleaming gold cover immediately caught my attention. There were two such books on the table, one titled "Master the Fight" and the other "The Legend." My curiosity drew me to "Master the Fight," where I found a treasure trove of techniques and skills for combat. The other book, "The Legend," was set aside for later. Right now, my focus was entirely on the upcoming battle.

With only four hours left to prepare, my nerves were beginning to get the best of me. However, I knew I had no choice but to push through. I sat down and diligently read through every single page of the "Master the Fight" book, absorbing its wealth of defense and attack skills. It seemed to contain every piece of knowledge on fighting imaginable.

As I delved deeper into the book, I couldn't help but wonder why my parents had given it to me. What purpose did it serve? Why had they entrusted me with this rare knowledge?

Suddenly, the door to my room burst open, jolting me from my thoughts. Panicking, I hastily hid the book beneath the covers, although the golden glint of the cover had already caught Leon's sharp eyes.

"What are you hiding? Bring it out," he demanded, his tone stern.

Frozen by the weight of his words, I slowly retrieved the book and handed it over to him, my anxiety growing.

His eyes widened as he examined the book closely. "How did you get this book?" he asked, his voice filled with a mix of astonishment and excitement.

"I... found it in the box my parents gave me before I came here," I stammered.

"You know what this is? This is one of the rarest books in the entire werewolf world. There are only three copies of it. This might be exactly what you need to win the fight," Leon exclaimed, his excitement contagious.

The next few hours were a blur as I practiced the techniques I had learned from the book, my determination and focus unwavering. Leon was reluctant to leave my side until I reminded him of his alpha responsibilities.

Eventually, John entered my room and announced, "Luna, it's time."

I changed into my fighting attire and made my way to the battlefield, where a crowd of curious onlookers had gathered. At least Kenzie wasn't present today, providing a momentary relief.

Leon pulled me to his side, his arm wrapped around my waist. "You've got this. I believe in you," he reassured me.

Lily took my hand, offering her words of encouragement. "Good luck!"

John, too, chimed in, "All the best!"

Stepping onto the battlefield, I came face to face with Kenzie. Her aura exuded strength and determination, causing my apprehensions to resurface. I silently prayed that I wouldn't meet my end here. I had dreams and goals yet to achieve.

The countdown began, "Ready? 3, 2, 1, GO!"

Remembering Leon's advice to observe first and not make the first move, I cautiously took two steps toward Kenzie, who mirrored my movements. Her eyes were fierce, reflecting a single goal—victory.

We stood there, locked in a silent battle of wills, neither of us making a move. It was clear that Kenzie had no intention of initiating the fight either.

I knew I needed to change my strategy, to take a risk if I wanted to win. In a sudden burst of action, I aimed a punch at her stomach, which she swiftly dodged. In response, she landed a blow on my cheek, making me wince.

Her counterattack was swift and powerful, but I couldn't afford to back down. I lifted my leg and kicked her chin, grazing it. Kenzie retaliated with another punch to my stomach, and I managed to scrape her chin slightly.

She growled menacingly at me, her determination unwavering.

I lifted my leg again, seemingly going for her legs but swiftly redirected and punched her in the corner of her mouth, drawing blood. The fight grew tougher, and my resolve grew colder and more unyielding.

Kenzie managed to land another punch on my stomach, causing me to unconsciously spit out blood. The battlefield was now a sea of blood, both mine and hers.

I had to win. I glanced at my mate and friends, their faces filled with worry. I fought for them, for the pack.

I finally managed to pin Kenzie to the ground and unleashed a flurry of punches upon her. Growling, she struggled against my grip, but I couldn't let up.

"Even if... you win, you think Leon will love you? Let me tell you, there is someone that neither of us can be compared with. She... was his everything," Kenzie taunted, her breaths labored.

I remained silent, my determination fueling my every move.

"She was Leon's ex-girlfriend. You think he will warm up to you so fast? It's all because you look exactly like her! If not, he wouldn't even glance at you, even though you're his mate," Kenzie smirked, her words cutting deep.

"No!... You're lying!" I muttered as I continued to fight with every ounce of strength I had left.

never really written a fight scene, hope it was up to your standards.
