Lost and Found

Chapter 7

 Max woke up with a weight she wasn't used to on her chest. Opening her eyes she was faced with her little mate curled up on top of her, a leg on either side of her with her body sprawled out on her chest her head nuzzled into her neck. Max chuckled feeling the pacifier in Iris' mouth tap against her neck as Iris suckled on it. Shifting slowly to try to keep Iris asleep, Max got out from underneath Iris who immediately snuggled into Lexi. Taking a final look at her mates Max got dressed and headed out of the room deciding to get some work done before spending the day with her mates.

"Wow, I think this is the first time you have ever gotten here before me." said Caleb walking into the office to find Max going through the paper work on her desk.

"Shut up Caleb." grinned Max stealing his coffee with a smile.

"So you didn't tell me what happened at the Wild Blood pack that made you and Lexi leave so quickly. Not to mention the cries from the link and the medic wing being on high alert." said Caleb wanting to know what happened. The entire pack was curious as Max and Lexi had yet to announce what had happened and anyone involved where not saying a thing, nor have they explained the new sent that they were noticing.

"Yes, I guess everyone deserves an explanation. I will talk to Lexi when she wakes and we will call a meeting, till then help me with these request forms." stated Max handing him a pile of papers. Chuckling Caleb sat down and started on his pile.

Lexi woke up with a moan feeling soft wet lips sucking against her neck close to her collar bone. Opening her eyes she found Iris to be the culprit, having lost her paci in her sleep Iris began suckling on Lexi's skin leaving a clear hickey the taste and feel of Lexi's skin calming her so much more.

Smiling Lexi shifted replacing her neck with a spare paci that was on her bedside table. Noticing Max's absence Lexi linked with her.

* You know I hate waking up with out you.* she simply stated getting a laugh back from Max,

* I will be right there my love.* Max stated standing up from her desk and getting a look from Caleb who chuckled.

"She woke up alone didn't she." Caleb laughed shaking his head knowing exactly what got his Alpha standing.

"I'll be back as soon as I can." responded Max heading for the door.

Max walked into her room not seeing Lexi or Iris rate away. Humming from the nursery brought her there where she watched as Lexi changed Iris' diaper and got her dressed in some leggings that fit over her 3D cast and one of Lexi's sweaters.

"There all clean and snuggled up right baby." said Lexi lifting Iris up who giggled before Max caught her eye making her smile bigger. "See I told you she would be here by the time we got you dressed." chuckled Lexi as Iris reached out for Max having missed her since she was not there right when she woke up.

Max was quick to take Iris into her arms and return her hug as she looked at Lexi with an eyebrow raised when she noticed the hickey on her neck. Seeing Max's gaze and knowing what she was looking at Lexi smiled,

"Our little one lost her paci while sleeping and decided my neck was a suitable replacement." Lexi said in explanation, making Lexi laugh.

"Is that so, well we will have to watch to make sure that isn't a different reason then just loosing her paci." said Max tickling Iris just to hear her giggles.
