Merry Christmas guys and gals and Non-Binary Pals!!!
(to help with any confusion. I have added what Iris says after the sentence in brackets, bold and italics)
Max and Lexi woke up to whimpering coming from between them. Looking down they saw Iris looking around with wide teary eyes.
"What's wrong peanut?" asked Max brushing the hair from Iris's face. Jade had let Max and Lexi put her in a diaper to sleep, just incase Iris took over while they were out. Clearly it was a good thing as Lexi noticed her diaper was soaked.
"Oh sweet pea. Do you need a change?" asked Lexi already lifting her up before she even answered, taking her to the nursery to change her in to a clean diaper.
"H'rt mama." whimpered Iris as Lexi wiped her down before taping the new diaper to her hips. (hurt mama)
"I know baby. Let mama finish putting you in a new diaper. Then we will get you something to help." whispered Lexi, taping the diaper and re-clothing the girl. She knew that her girl would be a little sore from last night but hadn't realized, that to Iris the pain was not normal.
Walking back into their room she found Max already with a bottle of milk that had been mixed with the protein powder, as well as a little bit of children's Tylenol to help slightly relieve the pain.
The three of them curled up to rest a bit longer as Iris finish the bottle, knowing it wouldn't be long before they had to start their busy day.
Max woke back up feeling the bed shift as Lexi got up, most likely to use the washroom. She shot up however when a loud squeal came out of the bathroom. Quickly glancing to see Iris still asleep clinging to her elephant Max rushed to the bathroom.
"Everything okay love?" Max questioned, only to start giggling at Lexi who was perched on top of the counter by the sink.
"Kill it!" squealed Lexi pointing to a tiny spider on the floor. Max shook her head and laughed before picking it up and taking it to the balcony before going back inside the bathroom.
"The big strong alpha." teased Max getting a glare from Lexi who was about to say something, before something else caught her attention.
"Oh my God!" exclaimed Lexi before stripping out of her T-shirt and looking at her own shoulder in the mirror.
"What's up baby?" ask Max curiously moving over to Lexi, only to see what she was looking at. Seeing the mark on Lexi shoulder, she quickly checked her own smiling when she saw it. Looking at each other with a smile they rushed to Iris who was still sleeping. Slowly they pulled off her shirt effectively waking her up, gaining a whine from the sleepy girl. To their excitement embedded on her skin in the shape of a chain around her neck was her mark with a dove on each shoulder where they had bitten into Iris. The three doves decorating their skin made both alphas eccentric as they bounce a giggling Iris in the air before getting ready for breakfast, selecting outfits with tops that would clearly show off the marks to the pack.
