*Laney POV*

I sat all alone in my apartment watching CNN.

"Today marks a whole year that Laney Cole has been on the run." The news reporter said and slid a picture of me up there.

I must say, I look rather fly on that picture.

"If you see this girl please call crime stoppers and you would have a million dollar reward." The news reporter said.

These idiots wouldn't figure it was me if I told them I did it. See I thought the law knew me by now. I'm slicker than cooking oil and I would make satan himself believe my lies.

I laughed and turned the tv off. I slipped my black hoodie on and threw the hood on. I walked out my apartment and headed down the sidewalk.

"Excuse me." I heard a voice but I kept walking.

"Mya!" The voice said sternly. I almost kept walking but I forgot that's my name.

I turned to Christian Leighton. He wore this smirk on his face that made me sick.

"What?" I said through clenched teeth.

"I was wondering did you need a ride to wherever you're trying to go?" He pointed back to his Bentley.

"Could you fuck off?" I snapped.

"Just get in the car Mya! It's about to rain." He said looking up at the sky. I looked up at the now dark sky. I looked back at him then to his car.

"I promise I will be a gentlemen." He held his hands up.

"You have one time to touch me, tease me, or take me somewhere else and I'm gonna kill you!" I said sternly. He laughed but I was beyond serious.

"Cool ma. Hop in." He opened my door and I frowned. Jamal would shoot Christian ten times if he knew this was happening.

I got in and Christian closed the door. He got in on his side and we pulled off.

"So where were you going anyway?" He asked.

"Just drop me off at the corner store." I said. I can't tell this weirdo exactly where I'm going. I may be crazy but I'm not stupid. See guys like him see a pretty girl and wants to explore her body. But he got one time to explore my body and ima make sure they burry his body!

"Heard about that Laney Cole girl?" He asked. I smirked.

"Yea she's crazy." I chuckled.

"I mean her and her boyfriend killed over 80 people within two years!" He said in shock.

"Yea some chick." I shrugged.

"I mean if I ever ran across her-"

"You should run for dear life because she preys over rich boys like you." I cut him off.

"Hell no! I would ask her out." He laughed. I twisted my face at him. I'm sure he's joking.

"You're a fucking weirdo." I told him.

"Oh c'mon! Laney Cole is a hot outlaw chick! She's so devious and smart and I love that! It excites me." He said. For the first time in years I genuinely laughed.

"Good luck with that." I said. He pulled up to the store and I got out.

"Bye weirdo." He said before swerving off.

No you're the weirdo.

I waited until I couldn't see him anymore then I threw my hood on and began walking again.

I turned the corner to this black building with no signs. I looked all around me before going in.

"Black!" I called.

No answer

I walked through the dark rooms and looked through empty rooms.

"Black!" I called once more.

"Mya? That's you?" I heard a deep voice say.

"Yea nigga! Where you at?!" I snapped.

"In the back!" He said.

I walked towards the end of the room and went through the tall door. I found him sitting in his wheelchair with his boys standing around him.

"Mya." He said with a smile.

"Where the fuck is my shit Black?! You said you had me! Where is my shit?!" I slammed my hands down on his desk causing the small light above our head to shake. His boys quickly pointed their guns to me.

"Relax Mya. I got you." He pulled out a old Smith and Wesson.

"Black what the fuck I'm gone do with that?! I can't even protect my damn dog with that gun!" I snatched it and looked at every angle of it

"Mane you asking for too much! How I know you bout that life yet Mya?! Who you running from anyway?!" He snapped.

Nigga I'm Laney Cole

"Trust me, you don't want to know." I assured him. He laughed.

"A good girl like you in some type of trouble?" He asked.

"Nope. I'm just protecting myself." I shrugged. He asking a lot of questions! I could kill this nigga and his whole squad right here on the spot, but I won't. It's too much trouble.

"Yea homie. You gone need this for that crazy bitch that got loose. What's her name? Laney Cole?" He said.

I balled my fist and clinched the gun tightly.

"She's crazy Mikee." My mom would tell my dad.

"You had her." He said. She would look down at me playing with my dolls.

"Yea I should have poured bleach down my throat." She laughed evilly.

I twitched at the thought of my parents trying to kill me.

"Keep it." I tossed the Smith and Wesson back at him.

"What's wrong now Mya?!" He snapped. I turned and walked towards the door.

"If you walk out that door I wont ever supply you." He threatened.

"I don't give two fucks." I walked out the door and slammed it.

Once I stepped outside it was raining. I put my hood back on and started walking down the sidewalk. Everyone around me were rushing in the rain but I wasn't in no rush.

"So what we gone do with all this money?!" I asked Jamal.

"What you mean girl? We gone live off it." He smiled.

Boom

The sound of the thunder roared through our hotel room causing me to jump in his arms. He laughed and held me.

"How the toughest chick in these streets gone be scared of thunder?" He asked. We both laughed.

I sped up before the thunder started. This time I won't have anyone to hold me.
