I arrived at Amelia's apartment and walked in. There was loud music coming from her speaker and I could hear her singing from her room. She's been listening to the same boy band on repeat for weeks.
"Hey" I said, plopping down onto the couch.
"So, what's the plan for today?" she asked, walking over towards me.
"Nothing until you get dressed for the day"
It was past midday and Amelia still wasn't dressed, not surprised though.
"Fine, fine. But I'd like to go shopping" she said.
"You know I hate shopping" I groaned.
"It'll only be for an hour at most, please" Amelia pleaded.
"Fine" I sighed. "Only if you turn that music off, it's doing my head in"
"Never!" she shouted and ran away.
"You know, I never thought that in a million years you would be obsessed with a boyband. That just seems so unlike you" I laughed.
"Have you seen them though Emma? They're fucking hot!" I heard her yell from her room.
"No, but I'm ok for now" I said and pulled out my phone to pass the time while Emma had a shower.
Emma: So, Corbyn with a y, entertain me. I'm bored
Corbyn: So you're texting me first? Well that's new
Emma: Shut up, my friends busy and I'm waiting for her
Corbyn: So you must be a girl then? Unless you're a guy that has girl friends
Corbyn: Or your a guy that has a girlfriend?
Emma: What?
Corbyn: I literally know nothing about you. I can't tell if you're a guy or girl from the letter E
Corbyn: My guess is that you're a girl
Emma: And why does that matter?
Corbyn: It doesn't, you said that you like being mysterious and I like mysteries
Corbyn: Especially solving them
Emma: So what are you trying to say here?
Corbyn: I'm saying that I'm going to figure out who you are
Corbyn: Not in a creepy way
Emma: There was no way you could've said that without being creepy
Corbyn: Fair point
Corbyn: But anyway, I want to know you more, you see like a really cool person. I'm hoping that the more time we spend talking, the more I'll get to know about you, even if it's really small things
Emma: I'm really not that interesting
Corbyn: But you are
Corbyn: If you weren't, I would've stopped talking to you by now. But I'm literally the one starting almost all the conversations
Emma: I still don't understand why, but ok
Corbyn: Look uh, I've got to go. I have some important things to do. But I'm going to crack the code to your puzzle and I'll figure you out
Emma: Good luck with that
Corbyn: Every message that you send back is one step closer to figuring out who you are
Emma: I don't think you'll crack it
Corbyn: Ok, bet by the end of the month, I'll know who you are. Picture and everything
Emma: Bet
Corbyn: Anyway, I really have to go, my friends are yelling at me
Emma: Have fun
Emma: I am a girl though btw, you were right
Corbyn: See, I'm always right
"Why are you so smiley? It's kind of weird" Amelia said, walking back into the room.
"No reason" I said, turning my phone off and putting it away. "Now turn off this band's music and let's go. I want to get this next hour over and done with"
Amelia sighed. "Fine, but we're listening to them in the car. I'm not going to stop until you love them"
"Whatever" I groaned rolling my eyes and we walked out of her apartment and to her car.

I'm hoping this is starting to make sense haha, but it'll get more interesting the further we go :)
