Corbyn: Come on Emma, it's been a week. Please talk to me
I looked down at the notification that just appeared on my phone and rolled my eyes. He's been trying to contact me for the past week, ever since that night.
After I got home that night I sat there thinking about everything and how it all made sense. In a way I kind of felt betrayed. I don't know Corbyn that well, but I felt like I could tell the type of person he was through the way he texted me. I don't really know what to think anymore.
My phone then buzzed again and I got a text from Amelia.
Amelia: I know that he's texted you again today and I think it's time that you answer him
Emma: You know that I can't do that
Amelia: Why not? What's so bad about it?
Emma: You know that I have major trust issues
Amelia: But there was something different about Corbyn and you know that. You were able to talk to him incredibly easy, and you even agreed to meet him
Amelia: It took you months before you agreed to go out of the house with me but it took a couple weeks with him
Emma: So? He still broke my trust Amelia, that's a hard thing to gain back
Amelia: Even if you can't trust him, at least talk to him
Emma: Why should I do that? It's just a waste of time
Amelia: Emma, he is performing almost every night and is probably hella tired. He goes to interviews throughout the day as well as writing, producing and singing music. BUT he still takes time out of his day to text you
Amelia: At least let him know that you're ok or something
Emma: Whatever
I knew that Amelia was right. I needed to talk to him, even if it meant just sending a simple message.
Emma: I'm alive and ok
Corbyn: Oh my god Emma! I didn't think you would answer
Corbyn: Look, I'm so sorry for everything that happened and that I lied to you. I really don't want to lose our friendship
Emma: I have major trust issues Corbyn, and you just made them worse
Corbyn: I know, and I'm really sorry. I would do anything to go back in time and tell you the truth from the start
Emma: Why didn't you tell me that you were a part of this band when I asked?
Corbyn: In all honesty, I thought you would treat me differently. Look at me like I'm this super rich, famous guy. I just wanted someone to treat me normally and not freak out over the sound of my name
Emma: Sorry to disappoint Corbyn, but I'm not that type of girl. I didn't even really like listening to your music
Corbyn: Well ouch
Emma: I wouldn't have treated you differently. I believe that everyone just wants to be treated normally, and that's how they should be treated
Emma: I don't talk to many people, but the people that I do talk to, they're all treated as normal humans. Nothing special
Corbyn: I know that now, I was incredibly stupid. Can you please forgive me?
Emma: I really don't know
Corbyn: I just want us to be friends Emma, you're a really cool person and I don't want to lose that
I sighed looking at my phone screen. There's something about this guy which makes it really hard to say no. I wasn't even thinking, but when I looked down at my phone I realised that I had already sent him a message.
Emma: I forgive you
