CHAPTER 10- PRAYER FOR PEACE

What's the advantage of a big house? It is that so many people can live in it, and it's normal because we were used to it, we were used to vampires, witches, humans, and werewolves. yeah right, my house was full of these creatures. A normal human would turn crazy encountering such things. It's been 2 weeks after the funeral and everything seemed to be fine with no trace of animal attacks and no trace of Roisin. Nobody knew where she stayed, either she was with them or elsewhere. Though we knew the time was near but everybody was excited as it was 21st July and my birthday.  I turned 18 today. My soul has lived on this planet for many moons and on this date, my family and I celebrate the anniversary of my arrival into this world. No matter whose birthday it is, we traditionally gather at my house. Our time together is spent enjoying each other's company as well as a mouth-watering buffet of homemade food, sweet treats, and, of course, eating enormous slices of birthday cake, after blowing out candles and warbling our way through the classic Happy Birthday song. But this time things were different, it was Roisin's birthday too, well she wasn't here with me like she used to be. Every year on our birthday, Aunt Jennet used to bake a three-layered cake with different flavors in each layer. She wasn't with us so we decided to drop the birthday celebration and take it as another normal day. But Sirena insisted on performing a witch's birthday ritual, that would be like a prayer to calm the soul. She said this ritual opens up the inner chakras and enhances the magical aura in the witch's body when she turns 18. She said this ritual was performed by the people of her tribe whenever someone turned 18, so everybody agreed. The ritual required, Orange candles, sweet orange essential oil, Allspice or pimento, Honey, Ground Cinnamon,  and Gold glitter.

Every material signified something like, The color orange is associated with creativity, wisdom, luck, and attraction. It stimulates positivity and abundance of all kinds. The fragrance of sweet orange essential oil depicts all aspects of our happiness, will power, and fun!

Cinnamon resonates with the energy of the Sun that enhances strength, health, protection, and spirituality. The frequency of Allspice is attuned to the planetary energy of Jupiter which promotes prosperity, success, optimism, and higher consciousness.  Honey is produced by worker bees and in utilizing its properties you invite the support of the "universe's worker bees," your Interdimensional Support Team (spirits, guides, ascended masters, angels, etc) to intervene on your path in your favor. Of course, it's sweet and sticky ~ symbolic of all good things you want to stick to you. 

The ritual and the ingredients associated with it were interesting and amazing. Rose named the ritual, 'Prayer for peace'. So the ritual began at 10 am, we all sat down crossing our legs, and were curious to know what it holds. I was sitting a little ahead of all and Sirena in front of us all facing towards us. The ritual was to be performed by me by watching Sirena. 

'So, there are three phases of the ritual, The beginning, the middle, and the end. Eabha just follow me and do as I say.' said Sirena. Rose drew the curtains for ensuring total concentration.

'Let's start the beginning of the ceremony, Take three deep breaths. With each inhalation imagine brilliant source energy entering your body and with each exhalation visualize the light purifying your soul.'

She then asked me to take a ceramic dish, place a dash of honey, sprinkled with cinnamon and allspice, and then add a drop of sweet orange essential oil, then add a little sparkle. Blend with the index finger of the dominant hand.

' Eabha focus on your breathing. While you are melding the energies together, reflect on the energies of each ingredient as I told you to amplify your intentions for the year ahead; what you want to be, do, have and experience in your life.' she paused for a while and then added, 'now we are moving towards the middle of the ceremony............... Take the candle and rub the enchanted mixture over the candle, which symbolizes you and the attraction of all good things into your life. Now as you light the wick, incant either out loud or in your mind the following lines three times: 

"Måste min födelsedags önskemål tas upp i ljuset, Må mitt inre ljus brinna starkt, Om ett år blomstrar jag, Och näras kontinuerligt. 

Jag välkomnar rikliga välsignelser som stöder och vägledar, min mest tillfredsställande och lyckligaste väg under året som kommer. Till förmån för allt ställer jag in det här nu, Och så är det."

I repeated this spell three times as instructed by Sirena. I could feel the aura of positivity and my soul at peace. I could feel the refreshment, the manifestation of energy inside me and I felt a new beginning inside me. 

 For the end of the ceremony,  she asked me to let the candle burn in a safe area where it can't be blown off. So with this, the witch's birthday ritual came to an end giving refreshment and positivity and a sense of relief to my body, heart, mind, and soul.
