Yaaba shut Mira up from continuing. She laughed lightly, "I get it. Thank you Samiratu."
Mira scowled, "I take back all the nice things I said about you. You're not my bestie."
Yaaba smirked, "Aww my baby, you know I love you." She hugged Mira.
Mira gave in and smiled, "I love you too boo."

"Happy birthday Yaaba. God bless you", Alice said with a smile and stretched her hand to Yaaba. It contained a small box.
Yaaba smiled, "Thank you Alicia."
Alice laughed, "You and your nicknames."
"Happy birthday Yaaba. More life", Miriam said and stretched a box to her.
"Thanks Mimi."
"You're welcome."
Alice box contained Yaaba's favorite snacks and Miriam's box contained a customized shambala.
"Well, you guys are invited to Yaaba's birthday party at Berma Nkwan" Mira extended invitations to the girls.
Alice and Miriam gushed, "Thanks. We'll be there."
Yaaba heard a chime and tuned out the conversation Mira was having with her roommates. Mira didn't like staying in her room. She was always at Yaaba's place.

Mira snatched Yaaba's phone to look at what made Yaaba smile. When she saw it, she smiled wildly.

Yaaba tried to take her phone from Mira, "Leave me alone."
"Ei, what is going on?" Alice asked.
"Yaaba's boyfriend has texted her" Mira said.
"She's lying." Yaaba denied.

"Nanka. Yaaba is not a small gerr (girl)" Mira added.

"You guys will see him at the party tonight"
"Sure, I can't wait." Miriam said with a fake smile. 'Could it be the guy she saw Yaaba with?' 'Her crush?'
"I have lectures at 10am. Leave me alone wai." Yaaba said.

"Na do you know where I have the class at?" Yaaba went to the wardrobe and picked an outfit.
"Business School area?"

Yaaba hurriedly took her bath and then dressed in a sky blue bodysuit, blue skinny jeans and socks Balenciaga. She had braided her hair over the week in box braids. She did a bun and left two braids in front. She put on a dash of lipgloss and she was good to go.

Yaaba laughed, "Madam nie. Let's go wai."

"Bye"
The girls walked to the shuttle stop and met Serwaa waiting for them.
"Hi Serwaa. Meet Mira my best friend."
"Hi Mira."
"Hi Serwaa."
"I can see us becoming good friends." Mira said.
The girls laughed.
"Are you also in our class?"
"No. I'm a computer science student."
"That's cool."
Mira smirked, "Yeah. Anyways, you're invited to Yaaba's birthday party."
"When is it?"
"Today."
Serwaa gasped, "Yaaba, you didn't tell me today is your birthday."
Yaaba winced, "I'm sorry. I forgot."
Mira muttered, "Who the hell forgets her own birthday?"
"Happy birthday Yaaba. I'll have to get you a gift."
"No worries. Hope you'll be coming for the birthday party?"
"I won't miss it."
The girls laughed.
