A week had gone by without another murder case reported.

It was a break for the police department, but not so much for Namjoon as he sits at his desk, sorting out the recent murder case while staring at the picture of Jung Hoseok.

So many questions and theories filtered through his thoughts, each one forming into pieces of a puzzle that seemingly can't be solved.

Its jarring whenever Namjoon looks at the picture of the man who he pronounced dead, no scratch that, who he was sure was good as dead.

But they never did find a body, and despite Namjoon's subconscious telling him to find the body as proof, he ignored it and left it as it. Now if word got out that Jung Hoseok is alive, it could look really bad for the police, especially Namjoon who made the public announcement that Jung Hoseok was dead.

For now, Namjoon will keep it a secret, with Solar as the only other person who knows about it since she was the first to discover it.

"I don't get it, just how did he survive and manage to stay under the radar for so long?" Solar ponders her thoughts out loud as she and Namjoon filter through the files of the recent murder cases from the last few months, hoping to find any clues and connections to Jung Hoseok.

"He isn't killing alot of people like before, so he's really doing a good job in staying hidden." Namjoon voices his opinion.

"If he's willing to stay hidden for this long without going on a massive killing spree, then perhaps he's biding his time and waiting on something." Solar comments.

"Not something, but someone." Namjoon says, sitting up straight in his seat, pushing back his hair from his forehead to wipe the sweat from his brows.

"Someone?" Solar casts her gaze from the files, over to her boss, whose dragon eyes bore deeply into the picture in front of him. "Who?"

It was clearly obvious.

"Min Yoongi." Namjoon mutters.

It makes sense to Namjoon, seeing as Hoseok  kidnapped Yoongi before and manipulated him into killing again. After the events with Yoongi a year ago, Namjoon got word of various murders in Gwangju, including a man by the name of Sanggu, who he later found out had connections to Hoseok and was the one who gave him the anonymous tip before he was killed by Hoseok.

"If that's the case, then we should warn Yoongi about Hoseok." Solar suggests.

"Not yet." Namjoon says, feeling a heavy weight settle in the put of his stomach at the thought of Yoongi finding out.

Before Solar can comment why, Namjoon continues, saying "If we tell Yoongi about Hoseok, he'll want to go after him. I already lost Yoongi once to this bastard, I don't want to lose him again."

"Which is why we should talk to Yoongi and warn him about Hoseok." Solar insists. "If we don't tell him of what's going on, Hoseok will get to him first and we'll end up going through the same shit from last year." Namjoon still refuses, which pushes Solar's buttons.

"If you don't talk to him, I will."

"Solar." Namjoon warns with a low tone.

"Namjoon." Solar fires back with a glare. "Yoongi needs to know about this. We don't know what Hoseok's motives are and if he gets his hands on Yoongi again, then we'll never be able to get him back."

Namjoon rubs at the bridge of his nose, replying to Solar with a deeply aggravated sigh. "You're right." He finally admits, knowing this has to be done.

Solar sighs alittle, happy her boss finally agrees. "I know you still care him." She says, extending her hand out and grabbing Namjoon's arm gently.

Namjoon does still care for Yoongi, he always will. "Fine, I'll call him and tell him about Hoseok."

"Here." Solar takes out her phone and holds it out for Namjoon. "Call him and tell him everything. He needs to know the truth." She says, waiting for Namjoon to take the phone.

Setting his emotions aside, Namjoon grabs her phone and looks up Yoongi's number. As he's about to call him, the door to his office swings open, and Detective Kang rushes inside with some bad news.

"Namjoon, we got word that a body was found at the park." Kang tells Namjoon, his breathing is all over the place since he had ran from his car to the station.

"After a whole week of nothing , a body suddenly turns up." Solar looks to Namjoon, both nod in silence as they agree it could be related to Hoseok.

But what Kang tells them next changes everything.

"We might have another killer on the loose."

When they all arrive at the crime scene, a huge crowd of spectators had formed, along with some of the media trying to get in on the scoop.

Irritated was an understatement to how Namjoon was feeling as he approaches the scene and orders a few officers to prevent the media from getting close and for the crowd to disperse.

"An old woman and her dog were the ones who found the body." Kang informs Namjoon as they walk to where the forensics team is taking pictures of the body.

Solar was already there, talking with the old woman and her small corgi. By the frantic look on the woman's face, Namjoon can tell the scene was going to be gruesome.

They approach the scene, finding the body of a young man propped up against a tree with blood all over his clothes and his throat slit from ear to ear.

"Kang, what makes you think this is done by a new killer?" Namjoon couches down to inspect the body closely. This looks like something Hoseok would do.

"Because of that." Kang points to the tree, just above the victim's head.

Namjoon follows his gesture, looking up from the victims body, to the top of his  head, where he sees something that makes his stomach clench with disgust.

It was a picture of a skull with bunny ears, painted with the victims blood.
