The Mind Flayer : Part 3
Mike jumped at the idea in his head, he told Hopper about the shed at the back, how if everything was moved out of it, and dressed up, it could fool Will. Hopper agreed it might work and followed Mike towards the back door. The rest of group decided that to dress the room they would need to use whatever they could find, sheets, paper, and just trash in general. Everyone got to work.
The backyard slowly became a jump pile as Hopper threw everything that once was in the shed out, Steve and Nancy found some tarps in the junk pile and begun to hang them up. Lucas and and Dustin looked through the garbage bins for any pieces of paper big enough to hang. Jonathan and Joyce stripped sheets and towels of the clothes line. Mike and Max looked through the chemicals under the sink for anything that could help with sedating Will. Gabbie and David were in the Twins room trying to find bits of paper and pulling the sheets off the beds.
"Hey Gabbie" David spoke up while stripping Will's bed, almost feeling like it was an invasion of privacy, feeling so uncomfortable with the fact that just in the room over was a sedated Will who had a monster inside of him. His brown fringe slowly fell in front of his eye, before he pushed it back behind his ear. Gabbie looked up at the boy, thinking to herself, she's only known him for not even a week and he has slowly become so close to her, wishing that he wasn't here, but also glad he was. Mike might be more then a friend at this point in time, Dustin and Lucas have always been really good friends but never more, Max is her girl friend, some she hopes she could confined in for what is happening in her life, Will is, was her brother, but David, he was seeming more then that. David was seeming to become her best friend, something that Mike was for the longest time, when Gabbie was dreaming of him every night, not that she is dreaming of David. Years ago, Gabbie and Mike were the closest out of anyone in their party, even though they wanted more from each other, they were still the closest, and that's how Gabbie felt towards David, nothing but love for the boy, the love of friendship she has only shown towards Mike.
"Yeah Dave?" The new nickname caught David off guard, he wasn't expecting what had come out of the Byers' mouth, but a smile form in the corner of his face.
"I just have to point out, you have the most ugliest sheets" he chuckled as he held up the musty red sheets. Gabbie faked a shocked expressed, pretending to be hurt by the statement as she leaned over her brother cold and naked bed to lightly punch the boys arm.
"I would like to let you know my mother got them on sale" Gabbie smirked back to him, he smiled back to her. Even though the conversation was nothing on the surface, it just submitted the fact that even though when times are at the hardest, they could rely on one another, that they have each others backs, they cared for one another. David was there for Gabbie and she was there for him.
Once everything was gathered it now became time for everyone to meet up in the shed and put all the pieces together. Some were working on covering the wall, some the Pilars in the middle of the shed, some hung lights and some grabbed the chairs and clothes line, along with the needles and ammonia. Everything was covered, everything was set up, the last ingredient was Will.
Hopper, Joyce, Jonathan, Mike and Gabbie stayed behind in the shed with Will, while everyone else waited inside, just silent waiting.
Jonathan sat Will down on one of the covered chairs, while Joyce tied him with clothes line. Both felt like they were committing a crime, doing this to their own son and brother, Gabbie just stood in the back with Mike watching it all unfold. Gabbie's hand found it's way into Mike and squeezed it for reassurance, that this was the right thing to do, that this will save Will.
"It will be okay Gabs, We'll get Will back, he'll come back" Mike whispered as he stared at the lifeless like body of William Byers.
The lights were turned on, they were bright enough to confuse Will once he had woken up, so it made it harder for him to spy on the location.
